VPN plugins for Firefox. Browsec VPN for Yandex browser - universal access Free VPN for Opera browser

Almost every Internet resource that is actively visited by users collects data about us. Often this data is used for analytics: information about age, gender, location, etc. is obtained. With the help of such tracking, they can also impose a ban on visiting certain sites (regional restrictions or IP blocking). No personal data is collected in this case.

To ensure anonymity on the Internet, “anonymizers” are used. This can be either a separate browser (for example Tor) or special programs. But what if you are used to working with one browser and have no desire to switch to others? There is a solution - connect the Browsec extension.

About the extension

Browsec VPN is an extension for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Yandex Browser that provides anonymity on the network.

  1. Encrypts Internet traffic by redirecting it through cloud storage.
  2. Hides the IP address, thereby allowing you to bypass blocking of regional restrictions or sites.
  3. Hides your real location and improves privacy, thereby misleading analytical programs for data collection.

The add-on is easy to learn and does not require any knowledge. The interface is intuitive. Browsec debugging has been carried out for every popular browser.

Browsec VPN for Google Chrome

Open your browser. To install the extension:

Browsec VPN for Firefox

To install:

Yandex.Browser

Since Yandex and Google used the Chromium base for their browsers, extensions from the Chrome store also work in the domestic browser.

In the current realities, Internet users increasingly have to resort to using . And this is not at all surprising, because with its help you can visit your favorite sites containing adult content or everyone’s favorite movies - resources, torrents, and, recently, the most popular social networks.

Today, the easiest way to get to your favorite resource is to use a VPN for Firefox or any other browser, since to use it you just need to install the extension. In addition, it allows you to filter traffic consumed directly by the web browser itself, and not by the entire computer system as a whole. If you still don't understand how it works, then just take a look at the picture below.

You can also access it by:

  1. Click on the icon in the form of three horizontal lines located in the upper right corner.
  2. Go to the "Get Add-ons" tab and scroll to the very bottom of the page until you find the "View More Add-ons!" button. After clicking on it, the add-on store will open.

To find a VPN extension for Firefox, you just need to enter the word “vpn” in the search field and click on the green arrow. After this, you will see a list of all extensions available for installation, among which only three are worth highlighting.

Installing and configuring AnonymoX for Mozila Firefox

To install this VPN extension, like any other, you need to click on the “Add to Firefox” button.

After downloading the “AnonymoX” addon, you need to confirm its installation by clicking on the appropriate button.

Find out three good reasons why you shouldn't use VPN extensions in Mozilla FireFox -

An icon in the form of the letter “X” will appear in the menu bar, by clicking on which you can make settings, as well as enable the extension itself - to do this, simply drag the slider, after first going to the required site.

Despite the fact that AnonymoX for Mozila Firefox is an English-language extension, its interface is quite simple and allows you to quickly navigate the settings. Thus, switching between servers is carried out in just one click, and the flag of the selected server will always be displayed in the browser. Among other things, the extension is capable of deleting cookies of a specific site or all resources visited, as well as replacing “”.

Among the disadvantages, one can note only a meager selection of servers available for use in the free version.

Install and configure Hide My IP VPN for Mozilla

Installing the Hide My IP VPN extension is no different from what is described above - click on the “Add to Firefox” button, and after downloading, confirm the installation.

Once the installation is complete, an extension icon will appear in your browser, which you should click on and log in or go through the registration procedure.

After you enter your email and , as many as 80 gateways will be available to you, but only for a couple of days. To activate any of them, you need to move the slider located next to it.

The connection speed is acceptable and is quite enough to surf on social networks or browse various sites, except for “cinema” ones.

Unfortunately, there is nothing else to note about the advantages of the Hide My IP VPN extension, except for the large number of available servers, comfortable speed and the ability to add your own proxy list.

Hoxx VPN Proxy for Firefox – how to install and configure

The difference between Hoxx VPN Proxy and other addons is obvious from the very first seconds - it is multilingual, which will undoubtedly please users who do not speak foreign languages.

After the language is selected, the user is prompted to log in or register a new account. Registration, however, takes a little longer than we would like, but this is not critical.

You should provide a real email, as your account password will be sent to it.

The Hoxx VPN Proxy interface is extremely simple and understandable even to a schoolchild. A large number of available gateways and quite acceptable speeds make this extension one of the best. For an additional fee, you can use private servers located in Germany and other foreign countries.

Perhaps this is one of the best shareware VPNs for Firefox, however, my opinion may not coincide with yours, but it is still worth considering this extension as the main one.

In conclusion, I would like to note that not all VPN extensions for Mozilla are described above, so I strongly recommend that you study the entire list in the Fox online store.

Although the Internet is a global network covering the entire globe with wires and satellite connections, it still has its limitations not only in the speed of data transfer from resources to user personal computers, but also in a number of restrictions on access to some sites. This may be due to the categorical nature of copyright holders who deny certain countries or regions access to their content or political disagreements between different parties. Also, restrictions on visiting some Internet portals may be introduced by system administrators of companies or providers, due to corporate policy or from a security point of view. Some of these bans and restrictions can be bypassed using the VPN extension for FireFox.

Technology that provides a network at a logical level over an Internet connection (vpn for Mozilla) allows you to get what you want by replacing the user’s IP address with an address belonging to another country. By becoming a wolf in sheep's clothing, the user gains access to Internet resources that were previously inaccessible for a number of reasons.

How to enable VPN in Mozilla

There is no built-in VPN function in the search engine. But it’s not for nothing that the browser is famous for the largest number of all kinds of add-ons from different authors from large companies or just single enthusiasts that are compatible with this search engine. It is possible to select a VPN extension for Firefox from a huge list of options, sorted by different criteria.

To select the required extension, you need to go to the settings menu in the upper right corner of the open browser and select the “Add-ons” tab or use the key combination “Ctrl+Shift+A”.

In the search on the page with add-ons, type the keyword “VPN” and perform the action by clicking on the green arrow.

Depending on the version of the personal computer operating system and browser version, many additional applications that perform the function of a virtual private network (VPN) will appear in the search results.

The user can sort them by degree of compliance with the request, by the number of downloads by different users, by rating, by newness, as well as by name, weekly downloads, recently updated and new additions.

After reading the reviews and functionality, just install your favorite application to the FireFox browser and calmly visit previously closed resources.

Browsec VPN for Yandex browser is a special extension for accessing blocked resources! We'll tell you how to use Browsec VPN today!

The list of sites blocked in Russia, where web resources with pornography, information about drugs, opposition Internet sources, online casinos, bookmaker services, and other gambling sites were previously sent, is now rapidly replenished with torrent trackers and media resources accused by the decision courts in the distribution of pirated content. In particular, it is already a fact that the most popular torrent trackers of the Runet, Rutracker and Rutor, are blocked in Russia.

At the same time, Roskomnadzor does not see a violation of the current legislation of the Russian Federation by each of the users who use various methods and tools to bypass site blocking. So we can, without a twinge of conscience, begin to consider one of the many ways to access blocked sites. In this article we will talk about the VPN Browsec extension, which is designed to bypass website blocking and is built into all popular browsers:

  • Chrome;
  • Mozilla Firefox;
  • Opera;
  • Yandex.Browser.

About the VPN Browsec extension

VPN Browsec offers the simplest way to bypass blocked sites. There is no need to set up any VPN connections, search the Internet for a working anonymizer, install special software in the operating system to change the IP address, or put up with the slow operation of Tor. You just need to install one small extension.

Located on the browser toolbar, VPN Browsec is always on hand, in a matter of seconds it will change the IP address to a false one and just as quickly return the real IP address back. The plugin has almost no effect on the speed of the PC. But its main advantage is that (thanks to adaptation to the Chromium and Mozilla Firefox platforms) you can visit blocked sites while working with your usual configured browser. As long as it works with extensions from the Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Opera store. There is nothing new to learn except the shortcut button.

By hiding the real IP address and replacing it with a false one with a location somewhere in Europe or the USA, the extension is an ideal tool for bypassing the blocking of sites in the CIS countries and Asia - be it blocked by government authorities or a corporate way of excommunicating employees from social networks during working hours. The latest VPN Browsec plugin also promises to encrypt Internet traffic so that the administration at work cannot track visited sites. Plus, the extension does not require administrator rights to operate.

Browsec has its own official website, even in the Russian version, where it can be installed in the specific browser being used - either directly, as in the case of Mozilla Firefox, or by redirecting to the desired page in the extension store, as in the case of “Chrome-like” web -observers.

VPN Browsec for Mozilla Firefox

To install the plugin in Mozilla Firefox, go to the official Browsec website and in the “Download” section, click the “Install extension” button.

We allow installation.

Let's install it.

Click the VPN Browsec button that appears on the toolbar to change the IP address and check the result. In our case, access to the Internet is supposedly carried out from Amsterdam. To disable the extension activity and return to your real IP address, click on the plugin button on the toolbar again.

In case your computer account is so limited that you cannot install any third-party browser, the creators of the plugin have provided a portable version of Mozilla Firefox for Windows with a pre-installed extension. The portable version of Mozilla Firefox can be downloaded from the same official website.

After downloading the archive with portable Mozilla Firefox, you need to unpack it to the desired location on your computer.

VPN Browsec Chrome

The specifics of how the extension works on the Chromium and Mozilla Firefox platforms do not differ in essence, but have a slightly different organization. There are no portable versions of Google Chrome, Opera and Yandex Browser on the official website of the plugin, but in these Chromium browsers we will be able to select a country to change the IP address. The choice, however, is meager - only 4 countries, however, for most cases, if the default false IP address selected does not solve the problem of bypassing territorial blocking, it can be changed to the IP of another country.

To install, in the Google Chrome window, go to the “Download” section on the Browsec website, click “Install extension”.

The redirection will take you to the Google Chrome store to the installation page.

After installation, on the Google Chrome toolbar we will find a button with a plugin icon that enables and disables the plugin. In the drop-down window, when you click the button, we will see the above-mentioned option to select a country to change the IP address.

VPN Browsec extension for Yandex Browser

Just like in Google Chrome, downloading a VPN for Yandex Browser is quite easy.

The browser from the first Runet search engine supports extensions from the Google Chrome store, where, in fact, you can install VPN Browsec.

Browsec for Opera

Opera has its own extension. You can get to the desired page in the Opera store yourself or, as in the cases discussed above, by redirecting from the official website.

The specifics of working with VPN Browsec in Opera are the same as in Chrome - we enable and disable the extension using the button on the toolbar. And if necessary, we change the country of access to the Internet.

Have a great day!

VPN is the best way to bypass blocked sites that your ISP has blocked. You can also hide information about yourself, change your IP address and transfer data in encrypted form. But for ordinary users, a VPN, first of all, is an opportunity to visit sites that have been blocked and inaccessible in a particular country.

I have encountered this from my own experience. I tested different VPN extensions (add-ons) for the four most popular browsers: Opera, Google Chrome, Yandex.Browser and Firefox. I decided to share this useful information with you. Below we look at the best (in my opinion), free (though not all) VPN add-ons for browsers. I’ll also show you how to find and install them in each browser. After installing and activating these extensions, you will be able to visit blocked sites, social networks (VKontakte, Odnoklassniki) and other resources.

A free VPN may not be of high quality. It works slowly and is not stable. Unfortunately, this is true. Especially in our time, when these free services are under a lot of pressure. A free VPN is not suitable for regular use. I think you are already convinced of this.

It’s better, of course, to buy some kind of paid VPN.

A few words about what a VPN (Virtual Private Network) is and how it works. This is a virtual private network. If this doesn’t mean anything to you, now I’ll try to explain it in simple language. There are many VPN services, both free and paid. Using some kind of VPN service (configured via browser extension, PC program, Android, iOS), all our traffic goes through the server of this service. There can be a lot of such servers, in each country and several of them (it all depends on the specific VPN service).

We receive the IP address of the server through which we connect. This allows us to access blocked sites, since we change our location on the network, connecting through a server installed in another country (where certain sites are not blocked). All data we transmit or receive is encrypted. Which gives us additional protection, especially when connecting via open Wi-Fi networks.

Sometimes security can be deceiving when using a VPN. Since all our traffic goes through the servers of some company, there is always a risk that this company will use the information that passes through its servers. Therefore, I advise you to use only time-tested and most popular VPN browser extensions. I will talk about these in this article.

It's simple: if in your country the provider has blocked access to some sites (for example, as VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Yandex and Mail.ru are now blocked in Ukraine), then we simply install a VPN add-on in our browser, turn it on and we can go to sites to which we have been restricted from accessing.

Free VPN for Opera browser

First of all, I will talk about the solution for the Opera browser. For the reason that I myself use this browser, and in this regard it is the best. Why? But because Opera does not need to install any third-party extensions to visit blocked sites. Opera has its own built-in free VPN, which works just perfectly!

All we need is to install the latest version of the browser. Then go to “Menu” – “Settings”, to the “Security” tab, and check the box next to “Enable VPN”.

All you have to do is turn on the VPN, and you can access sites that your Internet provider has blocked.

You can change your virtual location. But I advise you to leave "Optimal location".

The developers of the Opera browser are certainly great. Not only is the service free, but it also has unlimited traffic and speed. And it is very convenient to use. And most importantly, you can trust a company like Opera. In any case, this is better than some VPN services that were created a couple of days ago.

If you use the Opera browser, then I think the issue of bypassing site blocking is resolved for you.

Advice! If it is not very important for you which browser to use, then you can install Opera and visit the necessary sites through its VPN. So as not to search for and install third-party extensions in other browsers.

There are many different VPN extensions for the Google Chrome browser. They can be found and installed from the official store. Let me first show you how extensions are installed in the Chrome browser, and then I’ll show you a few specific extensions that I personally tested in use.

Open the menu, go to More Tools and select Extensions. Then, at the bottom, click on “More extensions”.

A new tab will open with a store of various add-ons for the Chrome browser. You can simply specify VPN in the search, and we will get a list of necessary extensions.

Just click on the "Install" button, and the extension will be installed in the browser. Then, its icon will appear next to the "Menu" button.

Some VPN extensions for Chrome:

I tried many different ones. Each has its downsides. In any case, download speed may decrease.

Installing a VPN in Yandex Browser

To get started, update your browser to the latest version. You can install add-ons in Yandex Browser, including VPN services.

To install an add-on, open the menu, then select Add-ons. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Catalog of extensions for Yandex.Browser" button.

Enter "vpn" in the search. A list of the additions we need will appear.

To install what you need, select it and click on the “Add to Yandex.Browser” button. I recommend trying: Hola Better Internet, ZenMate VPN, TunnelBear, DotVPN - better than VPN. After installation, the extension icon will appear near the address bar (on the right). Most likely, you will need to start the VPN in the add-on settings.

Installing friGate in Yandex Browser

I think this is the best solution. Everything works well, and it is possible to open only some sites that are blocked via VPN. You can create lists and add your sites there. Many blocked sites are added by default. You will not be able to install friGate using the method described above. You need to download the extension file and install it.

friGate can be installed and configured in other browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Chrome.

VPN add-ons for Mozilla Firefox browser

You can also install the necessary extension in the Mozilla Firefox browser. Or configure friGate, which I wrote about above (link is also above).

Go to “Menu” – “Add-ons”.

On the extensions tab, in the search bar we write “vpn”, or the name of a specific extension.

You can go to the full list of extensions by clicking on the corresponding link below.

I checked Hotspot Shield Free VPN Proxy, Hoxx VPN Proxy, ZenMate Security and Privacy & Unblock VPN.

Hotspot Shield works immediately after downloading and turning on. Hoxx and ZenMate require registration.

After installing VPN, blocked sites will open in Mozilla Firefox. If you don’t like the download speed or stability, you can try another add-on.

Afterword

Don't get carried away with installing everything. Remember, it may not be safe! Look at the rating, reviews, number of installations of the extension.

Of the free solutions, I liked the built-in VPN in the Opera browser, and friGate, which can be installed in almost every browser.

Whatever VPN service you use, it has its disadvantages and inconveniences. He needs to be watched (enable or disable), speed and ping may also drop. It is possible that the server through which you are connecting may malfunction.
