Play market says no internet connection. Problems with the user's Google account

This problem occurs quite often, and if it bypasses you, then you are very lucky. I have repeatedly encountered various errors and a completely non-functional Google Play Market on Android, so I am sharing my personal experience on how to return the most popular service from the Good Corporation to working condition.

So, there are various types of failures in the Google Play Store: technical problems on the service side, constant errors, application crashes and complete inoperability. In this instruction I will give some useful tips on how to fix it all.

1. Reboot Android

The first step is to restart your device. This usually solves most problems with Google Play. If it doesn't help, move on.

2. Reset Google Play Market settings

To do this:

1. Go to settings.

2. Open Applications or Application Manager.

3. Find Google Play Store in the list and click on it.

4. In the application settings window, select “Erase data” and “Clear cache”.

I think this should help even more users, but if not, move on.

3. Uninstall Google Play Market updates

We proceed in the same way as in step 2, but now instead of “Erase data” and “Clear cache”, click “Delete updates”.

This will return the Play Market to its original state at the time of installation.

4. Reset Google Play Services app settings

Go to settings again, open “Applications” and find “Google Play Services” in the list. Open it and clear cache and data as well.

5. Clear Google Services Framework cache and data

Go to Settings → Applications → All tab. Select "Google Services Framework". Click "Erase data" and "Clear cache".

6. Google Accounts app is disabled

Go to Settings → Applications → All tab. Select Google Accounts. If this application is disabled, please enable it.

7. Enable "Download Manager"

In the applications section, swipe left to go to the “All” tab and open “Download Manager”. If you have it disabled, click "Enable".

If it is already activated, and the previous tips did not help and Google Play does not work, proceed further.

8. Delete your Google account and restore it

You can find out more about this in the instructions: . There, in step 6, select “Delete account.”

9. Applications blocking the Google Play Market

Some programs may block the Play Store. For example, the well-known Freedom application, which allows you to make in-app purchases for free, can interfere with the normal operation of the Google app store.

10. Set up the “hosts” file

If you have the application installed, then this item is just for you.

This method requires root rights. You can get them using the following instructions:

First, disable the Freedom application (in the program menu, select “Stop”), and only then delete it.

After that, install the application or . Then find along the way /system/etс/“hosts” file, open it with a text editor and leave only this line (if not, write it):

127.0.0.1 localhost

Save your changes. After this, restart your Android gadget.

11. Hard Reset Android

This is the most radical method that will delete all data from the internal drive. The data on the memory card will remain intact. Full instructions are on our website: (follow the link, you need the second method from the article).

This advice will definitely help, so don’t be afraid - it can also be used. The main thing is to create a backup copy of the system before this. Read how to do this in paragraph 6 of these instructions.

After this, at the first start, you will be able to restore all data from the previously created backup (backup).

12. Check your Internet connection

Check your network connection. If no website opens in the browser, reboot the router and correctly.

13. Set the correct time (error “No connection”)

If the error “No connection” occurs, although the Internet is working, then this point in our instructions should help you.

Set the correct time and enter the correct time zone. It's best to keep these settings in sync with your network. To do this, go to “Settings” → “Date and Time” and check the box next to “Network Date and Time” and “Network Time Zone”.

14. Google IP Blocking

UPD 04/23/2018 After the ban on Telegram in Russia, Roskomnadzor blocked more than 18 million Google IP addresses, which is why many users had problems connecting to the company’s services, including the Play Market.

To restore access to the app store on Android, use . Since Google Play does not open, you will have to download a VPN client (for example,

The Android operating system is by no means infallible. Many smartphones based on it from time to time produce a variety of errors, unnerving the user. Perhaps one of the most serious errors is related to the Play Market. For some owners of portable gadgets, it suddenly stops functioning, although it worked perfectly before. Today's article will try to help you bring Google Play back to life.

It is necessary to understand that the client himself Play Market is a regular application - it is not part of the operating system, as some people might think. In this regard, no one is immune from the fact that the client fails. The reasons for this can be completely different.

This program is updated regularly. If you prohibit this process, then soon your client will become obsolete. Partly for some people the Play Market does not work precisely for this reason. Although most often there is still a way to update the application, as a result of which the client’s functionality is restored quite quickly.

But most often the problems are caused by the state of the operating system itself. Some internal processes are interfering with Google Play, which is why a message with an error number is displayed on the screen. It is curious that this number most often means nothing even to an experienced professional who regularly repairs smartphones. In any case, you can get the Play Market to work if you use our guide.

First of all, reboot your device. In many cases, this simple action solves the problem. Proceed to the following steps only if there are no visible changes after the reboot.

Reset Play Market application settings

As mentioned above, the client Google Play is an ordinary application that is preinstalled by the device manufacturer. Therefore, no one will forbid you to reset the client settings if it stops working. This process is no different from resetting any other program. Namely, you need to do the following:

Step 1. Go to " Settings».

Step 2. Go to the section " Applications" It may also be called " Application Manager».

Step 3. Find Play Store in the list and click on it.

Step 4. In the settings window that appears, click on the buttons " Erase data" And " Clear cache».

Usually this method solves the problem. But in some cases even this does not help.

Uninstalling Play Market updates

If the Play Market does not open for you even after deleting all its settings, then you need to try to get rid of all updates to the program, returning it to its original state. To do this, you need to go to the client settings window described above. In it you should click on the button “ Uninstall updates».

After some time, the operating system will eliminate all updates that the Google Play client received. As a result, it will become exactly the same as you launched it immediately after purchasing the smartphone, when you just entered the data from your Google account.

Working with Google Play services

The functioning of the Play Market and many other pre-installed applications directly depends on the state of the program " Google Play Services" You will not see its icon in the menu or on the desktop. However, this program launches simultaneously when the smartphone is turned on - it takes up a fairly large amount of RAM. If you have problems not only with the Play Market, but also with some other applications, then you can try clearing the Google Play Services settings. To do this, perform the following steps, some of which have already been described above:

Step 1. Go to " Settings».

Step 2. Go to the section called " Application Manager" or " Applications».

Step 3. Click on the program called " Google Play Services».

Step 4. Click on the button Clear cache».

Check the functionality of the Play Market. It is possible that the problem has been resolved.

Working with Google Services Framework

Sometimes problems with the Play Market can arise due to unstable operation of a separate process Google Services Framework. In fact, it cannot be considered a separate program, but you can still find it in the Application Manager. So, here you go:

Step 1. Visit " Settings».

Step 2. Go to " Applications" or " Application Manager", depending on the smartphone model.

Step 3. Go to the " All» and click on Google Services Framework.

Step 4. Here click on the buttons " Erase data" And " Clear cache».

That's it. This may well help, although the likelihood of this is not very high.

Other services

In the same “Application Manager” you can find other services on which the operation of the Play Market directly depends. If any of these services are disabled or unstable, you will not be able to download the application, and sometimes you will not even get to Google Play.

Go to the service settings page " Google Accounts", located in the tab " All" Please note that this service is not disabled. If this is indeed the case, then click the " Turn on».

In the same way, check " Download Manager" If it is disabled, then click on the " Turn on».

A malicious application, popularly called a virus, could disable some of these services. That's why we recommend that you read this article about the best antiviruses for Android .

Removing a Google account and restoring it

If all the methods discussed above do not help, then more serious measures will have to be taken. For example, you can try deleting your Google account and then creating a new one. In some cases this really helps.

Here we will not describe in detail the methods for deleting and creating an account. We have already written about what needs to be done for this. Just follow the following links:

Removing applications that block the Play Market

There are special applications that completely block the functioning of the Play Market. If you suspect any of the programs of this, then remove it. In particular, you should eliminate or at least disable Freedom. This app allows you to make in-app purchases for free, but in return it does not allow you to use Google Play. Before deleting a program, do not forget to click on the “” button in its menu. Stop».

But everything won’t end at Freedom’s removal. After this you will have to configure the file hosts. To access it you need get root rights. If you have them, then install a file manager that can penetrate deep into the system. It could be ES Explorer or less susceptible to advertising Root Browser. Next, launch the file manager and go to the path /system/etc/.

Find the file hosts(it's one of the few that doesn't have an extension) and click on it.

In the case of Root Browser, you will be offered different file types. Select " Text document».

Select the application with which you will edit this file. This can be absolutely any text editor. In our case, the choice fell on “ Documents».

Leave in the file only the line that you see in the screenshot. If it is missing, then write it down.

Full reset

If the above steps did not help, then you will have to do a full reset. Our separate article contains detailed instructions describing all your actions necessary to perform a full reset.

Attention: this way you will lose all user files. Therefore, it will not be superfluous creating a backup copy, so that you can then return music, photos, contacts and documents to your smartphone.

This method does not help only in absolutely incredible cases. If the Play Market was functioning after purchasing the smartphone, then its functionality will be restored now.

Internet connection and time

Finally, let’s mention a couple more reasons why the Play Market does not start on Android. The first is, no matter how trivial it may sound, the lack of an Internet connection. Check your mobile balance. Also check your internet browser to see if it loads different sites. You can also connect to a Wi-Fi network, usually with its help the Play Market always works.

Another cause of problems with Google Play is incorrectly configured time. Be sure to set your time zone, otherwise Play Market will complain about it. You can also check the box next to the items “ Network time zone" And " Network date and time", in this case the settings will be made automatically.

In this article, let's figure out why Google Play Market is not working today and what to do. We will perform actions with the phone in order until the access problem that has arisen is completely resolved. Read to the end.

This article is suitable for all brands that produce phones on Android 9/8/7/6: Samsung, HTC, Lenovo, LG, Sony, ZTE, Huawei, Meizu, Fly, Alcatel, Xiaomi, Nokia and others. We are not responsible for your actions.

What about the Play Market and Google servers

Before you start diagnosing Android, make sure that the Play Market works on other devices. Try logging into Google Play through a browser on your computer. If there is an error everywhere - for example, the device says “Waiting time has expired” - then the problem is clearly on Google’s side. Wait a moment and then try again.

Reset settings and remove updates

If the Play Market does not launch on your phone or tablet:

  1. Open Android settings.
  2. Go to Applications or Application Manager.
  3. Find Play Market.
  4. Click "Memory" -> "Clear cache" and "Erase data".
  5. Reboot your device.
Increase

If a problem occurs after updating the Play Market, for example, the screen lights up and goes dark, then roll back to the previous version. Also go to the application settings and select “Uninstall updates”.

Increase

Clearing the cache and deleting data sometimes has to be done for the Google Services Framework, which is also related to the operation of the application store.

Reboot and check the Internet

If the error appears for the first time, reboot the device. Perhaps the Play Market does not start due to a minor system glitch, which can be resolved by restarting Android. To reboot your phone:

  1. Press and hold the Power key.
  2. Hold until the shutdown window appears.

If you see when you launch the Play Market, check your Internet connection. There may be no connection and that's why you can't access the app store. Launch your browser and go to any website to make sure the Internet is working.

In April 2018, Roskomnadzor began to ban Telegram and Google’s IPs were targeted. As a result, some services, including the Play Market, became unavailable for some residents of the Russian Federation. Make sure this is not your case, regardless of the date, because... a similar situation can be repeated at any other time.

Also, make sure that the date and time are set correctly. Enable auto-detection using network data or setting the correct date manually.

Play Market is the main source of Android applications. If it does not work, for example, it writes “Error RH-01” or “Login failed,” then the user is deprived of the ability to quickly install new programs. The reasons for the failure may be different, but most often they can be identified and eliminated yourself.

Enabling Google Accounts and Download Manager

For the Play Market to work, Google Accounts and Download Manager must be in the list of running applications. To find them, in the Applications section, go to the All or Show system applications tab.

Increase

If the program does not work, click the "Enable" button. At the same time, clear the cache and data, if any.

Account problems

  1. Open settings, find the “Accounts” section.
  2. Select a valid Google account.
  3. Manually synchronize all data so that it is saved on Google servers.
  4. Return to the previous menu and select "Delete".

After deletion, add your account again by entering your login and password. The synchronized data will be returned to your phone automatically.

Application conflict

If the problem occurred after installing Freedom, an application to bypass license verification and commit free transactions, then you need to remove it.

  1. Open the list of applications in settings, go to the “Installed” tab.
  2. Find Freedom and click Stop.
  3. After stopping, remove Freedom
  4. Reboot your device.

Increase

Another application may be causing the problem instead of Freedom. If the error occurs after installing a program, disable it and uninstall it.

Cleaning the hosts file

The operation of Freedom and other applications can bring another problem - adding entries to the hosts file that block connection to Google servers. To remove the restriction, you will need root rights.

  1. Launch the Root Explorer application
  2. Find the system folder.
  3. Go to the etc directory and set the permissions to R/W.
  4. Select the hosts file.
  5. Grant superuser rights to the application.
  6. Remove all extra lines, leaving only 127.0.0.1 localhost.
Increase

All other lines are changes made by applications and sites. Because of them, the Play Market may be unavailable for connection.

You will be surprised, but more than 70% of Android device owners face this situation when the Google Play Market does not open. We will now tell you how to fix this “glitch”. If you encounter it, it won’t be difficult.

First of all, although it sounds trivial, you need to check the network connection. It is possible that this error also needs to be corrected.

Reboot is a banal, but often effective piece of advice for any problems logging into your Google Play account. Google Play Market may not open due to problems with the device (too many running programs, long operating time, etc.). If rebooting does not help, then move on to tip No. 2.

Important! Before rebooting, use the Clean Master application; often it immediately solves the problem of the Play Market not opening.

Often clearing the cache helps to temporarily fix a problem in the Google Play Market; to clear it, you should take the following steps (the instructions are suitable for any device):

  1. Settings → Applications → Manage applications.
  2. Now find the Google Play Market among the programs, click on it and in the window that opens, select the “clear cache” (data) function.
  3. After cleaning, reboot your device.

Tip #3: Uninstall the latest installed Android update.

If the phone does not log into the Play Store and you cannot log into your Google account, but before that everything worked fine, this may be the result of an unsuccessful Android OS firmware update.

To uninstall the latest update, follow the instructions in tip #2, but instead of “clear cache,” click “uninstall updates.” Such actions will reset the Google Play Market and return it to the very first settings.

To activate your account, you need to go to the “Settings” section, then find the “Applications” section, select “All” here. Now you should open “Google Accounts” and activate.

If the above tips did not help, then you need to delete and restore your account:

  1. Settings → Account and synchronization settings.
  2. Now delete your account, and then restore it or create a new one.

Important! Some programs, such as Freedom, can block the Market, so carefully go through the list of downloads and recently installed applications.

If the Google Play Market still does not work after all the manipulations, then you should resort to the most radical step - resetting Android to factory settings. To reset, follow the instructions:

  • Settings → Backup and reset → Reset settings.
  • The “Reset phone settings” option will appear on the screen, where you need to click “Erase everything”.

All data that was stored on the memory card will not be erased; to create a copy of the system, you need to find the “Backup copy of data” section in the settings, and then restore it after rebooting the system.

Important! Before resetting to factory settings, be sure to check your Download Manager connection. To do this, go to the “Applications” section, open the “All” tab and find the “Download Manager”; if it is not enabled, then launch it and check the functionality of the Market.

If so, it wouldn't hurt to check it. We hope that our tips helped you restore access to your account and the functionality of the Google Play Market. Do you know about other methods? Then write about them in the comments!

Google's Play Market is, in fact, the main source of programs and applications for Android tablets and phones. Only a small percentage of users use other application sources, such as Yandex.Store. Therefore, if something happens to him and suddenly the Play Market does not work, does not open, or simply does not enter the Play Market, then for a user who is familiar with computer equipment, this is simply a disaster: nothing can be installed, installed programs are not updated, errors appear on the device, etc. Sometimes the cause of the malfunction is a virus infection, but most often it is just a glitch or a failure of the program itself and the system service. Of course, a complete hardware reset (“hard reset” or “wipe”, as it is also called) will most likely solve the problem, but this is the most extreme method, which I will talk about at the end of the article. In the meantime, let's look at several working ways to solve the problem with Google Play.

Before you do anything, check if you have Internet access from your smartphone or tablet. The fact is that the Google application store requires access to the global network and, if it is not available, displays the error “No connection” or “No connection”. If there are no problems with this, then we perform the following steps.

Step 1. Clear the cache and delete data.

This method helps if the Play Market does not open due to a software glitch. Go to Settings of your phone or tablet and find the Applications item and open the All tab. Find the Google Services Framework application:

(if there is no such item, look for “Google Play Services”). Select it and get to the application information:

Click the “Clear cache” button and then “Erase data”. Next, we look for the “Google Play Store” itself:

and do the same:

Now you need to restart your Android phone or tablet and check whether the Play Market is working or not.

Step 2. Restart the download manager

Sometimes the cause of problems with the Play Market is a frozen download manager. Let's try to "kick" him. We return to “Settings” -> “Applications” and find “Downloads” in the list of applications:

Forcefully stop the dispatcher and reboot the phone or tablet. After downloading, we return here and check whether the application is active.

Step 3. Check the Hosts file

Problems with the app store may be caused by interference with the system Hosts file. Let's check it out. However, for this you need to get ROOT access to the device. Next, launch some file manager. I prefer to use Root Browser for this. We need to get into the directory

We find a file in it Hosts and open it with a text editor. By default it should look like this:

That is, there shouldn’t be any lines except this one:

As a last resort, this file can simply be deleted and after a system restart it will be created again in its original form.

Step 4: Problems with Google Account Sync

All installed programs on Android are linked to your account. If you have problems with synchronization, then you won’t be able to simply enter the application store. Go to the “Accounts and Synchronization” section:

And manually start full synchronization:

If data synchronization fails, check your Internet access. If everything is fine, then try deleting your account, rebooting and creating it again. If the Google Play Store says you need to log into your account, see.

Step 5. Download Google Play Market and reinstall

If none of the previous steps helped, then you should try reinstalling the Google Play app store itself. To do this, open the “Settings” >>> “Applications” section again and find the Google Play Store there and completely clear it: first the cache, then the data, and finally, delete the updates:

Reboot and check. If everything is fine, the Play Store will download the updates and start.

If all else fails:

The most extreme way to restore operation is to reset your phone or tablet to factory settings. To do this, we save all the data from the phone to the computer to the maximum. After that, go to the “Settings” >>> “Backup and reset” section:

Find the item “Reset settings” and select it. Then we proceed according to the instructions on the phone. As a result, we will get a completely clean device. Google Play Market usually works great after this =). Good luck everyone!
