International payment systems of the Internet. Payment system selection criteria

Good day everyone!

The Internet is more and more embedded in our lives. Now you can quickly transfer money to relatives or friends, and buy some things, and pay for insurance, receipts - and all this without leaving your home!

All these operations with money cannot be carried out without payment systems ... Now, of course, many online stores allow you to pay by card, but not all stores can do with plastic alone. I'm not talking about transfers, the same interbank payment can take up to 5 days, and a transfer to, say, QIWI - up to 5 minutes! The difference is on the face ☺ ...

In this article, I want to focus on the most necessary payment systems that are used on the Internet (where it is relatively safe to store and manage money). By the way, many of them allow you to save money. fees for transfers within their system are cheaper than in many Internet banks ...

Note: I highly recommend that you indicate your correct passport data when registering in payment systems (check everything 2-3 times). One mistake for 1-2 letters - and you may find problems with blocking or freezing an account until clarification. In addition, unconfirmed wallets have certain limits on the use of funds.

QIWI wallet is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to pay for purchases and make transfers on the Internet. All you need to get started is only a mobile phone (when registering, QIWI rigidly binds a mobile number (for security purposes)).

The service allows you to pay utility bills, make purchases, make instant money transfers, and all this with a very low commission (of course, relative to other services). QIWI also has a fairly wide network of payment terminals, there is a mobile application, various Internet resources, which together make the use of this payment system simple and convenient.

Main advantages:

  1. works in many countries of the World (more than 20 at the time of this writing);
  2. transactions and transfers are carried out almost instantly (commissions are minimal or absent);
  3. there are very "tasty" offers for cashback (This is the return of a certain percentage of the purchase costs (for example, you bought a product for 1000 rubles - 100 rubles returned to your wallet). According to some offers of online stores, cashback reaches 10-15%!) ;
  4. tight integration with other Internet wallets, operator's mobile account;
  5. easy replenishment of the wallet (and in many cases no commission) from Internet banks, cards, and other payments;
  6. there is no Internet connection, then you can even send a transfer using an SMS message;
  7. the interface is friendly and allows you to complete your task in an easy step-by-step version (transfer, replenishment, withdrawal, etc. tasks);
  8. before making a transfer, QIWI will warn you about all fees;
  9. you can order a plastic or virtual card (and pay with it like a regular bank card).

Yandex money

A very popular payment system on the Internet in our country. It is distinguished primarily by its simple registration and use. In addition, the popularity is also promoted by the fact that the system is supported by one of the most popular search engines Yandex.

Payment for the order: please note that Yandex gives any guarantee that your purchase will be delivered to you (otherwise you can dispute it and get your funds back)

Main advantages:

WebMoney

One of the oldest, most popular and multifunctional payment systems on the Internet (it appeared in 1998, even many banks have gone into oblivion during this past difficult time, and WebMoney lives and develops). Has a number of unique services for the purpose, because say, the flagship of Internet computing ☺.

Main advantages:

  1. Accepted in most online stores (most widespread);
  2. works in many countries of the World (widespread in the CIS);
  3. wallets can be in different currencies: Russian rubles, Belarusian, hryvnia, dollars, and even bitcoins! You can convert currencies from one to another using your own exchange (minimum percentage);
  4. one of the highest levels of security (there is no such thing anywhere else!): special. application for PCs and smartphones, key file, password for access to the application and key file, work with ENUM. Also, WebMoney provides passports and BL (a kind of rating of honesty and respect ☺) for each of the participants. This also promotes honest and open work;
  5. a huge number of opportunities for replenishment and withdrawal of funds on the account: bank cards, accounts, other payment systems, money transfers, etc.
  6. instant transfers within the system;
  7. the ability to transfer money with a protection code (until the code is entered, the money will not be credited to the recipient's account. It is convenient when you want to insure yourself, but suddenly you sent it to the wrong person, or he has not yet performed the service for you);
  8. the possibility of organizing payment acceptance;
  9. the ability to conduct transactions (protected!);
  10. easy and quick payment for communal apartments, cable TV, Internet, mobile phone and much more (everything in one article cannot be described - this is a very multifunctional payment system with constantly updated capabilities!).

PayPal

One of the most popular payment systems in the World, more than 200 million registered people at the time of publication of the article! Payment, of course, is not yet so widespread in Russia (it came to us not so long ago), but abroad it is used in the overwhelming majority of online stores and services.

One of the main advantages of the system is the simplicity of translation, it is enough to know only the participant's e-mail, and you will be able to send him money! Moreover, PayPal guarantees the safety of your funds, and gives a certain time (up to 180 days) to challenge the transaction (for example, you ordered something on the Internet, but you were deceived and the goods were not provided - PayPal will return your money!).

Main advantages:

  1. the most widespread in the World - if you want to receive money transfers from abroad, there is nothing easier than with PayPal (just the same QIWI there hardly anyone knows ☺);
  2. high level of security;
  3. the possibility of challenging the transaction (refund);
  4. there is a mobile application (and, by the way, very convenient!);
  5. instant transfer of funds from account to account;
  6. protection of your bank card on the Internet - when paying it is nowhere to be seen (the card is tied to your PayPal account and upon purchase, the money from the card goes through this payment system. That is, no online store will recognize your personal data from the card).

Rapida

Rapida is a popular Russian payment system designed mainly to pay for various services: utilities, telephone communications, Internet access, loans, etc. It should be noted that the popularity of the system is slightly lower than that of WebMoney or Yandex-money (apparently due to the fact that the original system was aimed at working with large companies: utilities, banks, search engines, etc.), but recently Rapida is winning back part of the market ...

You can replenish your wallet in Rapida using terminals, banks, plastic cards, operators such as Euroset, Svyaznoy, Technosila.

Key Features:

  1. payment of loans, regardless of the working hours of your bank - Rapida will transfer everything urgently at any time of the day;
  2. ample opportunities for work: you can pay for utilities, traffic fines, Internet services, make transfers, top up your phone account, buy a ticket or a ticket, order a prepaid card and much more in a couple of mouse clicks!
  3. minimum commissions for withdrawal to other payment systems and bank cards;
  4. for Megafon and Beeline subscribers it is possible to make a payment directly from a mobile, specifying the transaction code and the amount;
  5. detailed statistics on your payment is always available on the service website (money will not get stuck and will not be lost during the transfer).

W1 (wallet one)

"W1" aka "Wallet One" (or "Wallet One") is an electronic payment system designed to unite all Internet payments in a single wallet (ie, in its ☺). The wallet works with many countries, including: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, etc. It is distinguished by its close integration with mobile phones (in the same Viber, you can now view the account balance and manage it), and low commissions for transfer and replenishment accounts.

Main advantages:

  1. payment for mobile services, housing and communal services, cable TV and other popular tasks;
  2. payment of loans 24h. per day;
  3. transfers within the system in minutes!
  4. purchases in online stores;
  5. transfer of funds to other payment systems: WebMoney, Yandex-money, etc .;
  6. it is possible to exchange messages between users of W1 wallets;
  7. tight integration with mobile (tight integration with Viber).

[email protected]

A fairly convenient service for transferring money from card to card and between users registered in this payment system. To transfer money from one to another, you only need to know the e-mail address. Agree, it's convenient ?!

In general, the service is not so popular yet, but over time it should gain momentum due to the large audience of Mail.ru.

Main advantages:

  1. money on the wallet in the system - stored in Raiffeisenbank (which gives greater reliability);
  2. it is unnecessary to install any additional programs;
  3. the ability to quickly and with a minimum commission transfer money from card to card;
  4. your bank card is easily and quickly linked to the account, and then you can not show it when making online payments;
  5. many ways to fund your account: QIWI, ATMs, bank transfers, using cards, etc.
  6. high security of the wallet and transfers (to transfer money, you need to enter a payment password). After termination of work with the service, after 15 minutes. access to the wallet is automatically closed.

Perhaps one of the downsides is that the system can only work with rubles. Also, a rather low prevalence in Russia (and its complete absence abroad) ...

Electronic payment systems are becoming an increasingly popular financial instrument. The ability to manage your payments and expenses from any device and carry out any settlements on the network is not a complete list of e-wallet functions.

Today, the list of payment systems includes several dozen names, but only a few are recognized as the most reliable and convenient. Those who have decided to open an account in such a service for active use should first familiarize themselves with the features of each wallet.

Visa Qiwi Wallet

The Qiwi wallet opens a list of payment systems. The electronic service Qiwi Wallet is not in vain in the first place - it is a convenient and functional multi-platform tool. The Qiwi group was formed in 2007 in Moscow. Since then, the company has managed to acquire its own bank, entered the international level and released co-branded products together with Visa.

Today, the Qiwi payment system has tens of millions of users around the world. Qiwi wallet holders have the ability to make utility and other types of payments, repay loans, make transfers and pay for purchases on the Internet and applications. These are not all the features of the wallet! At the same time, the account in Visa Qiwi Wallet coincides with the owner's phone number, and the level of payment security allows you to be sure of the safety of funds.

WebMoney Transfer

The WebMoney wallet does not top the list of electronic payment systems, but it firmly holds the leading positions in some individual articles. First of all, it is the most popular way to carry out currency transactions on the Internet. In WebMoney Keeper, you can open an account in US dollars, euros, hryvnias and other monetary units.

To open an account, you just need to install a special keeper on your computer or mobile device. The developers guarantee compliance with all security requirements, in connection with which, to perform some calculations, passport data is required, and each operation is confirmed with a password.

At the service of users - numerous functions and services, partnerships of large companies and a user-friendly interface. The specificity of this wallet is the ability to exchange currencies. The course, of course, is not the most profitable, but sometimes such a service is very useful.

"Yandex money"

In 2002, the Russian browser Yandex released its next product - the Yandex.Money electronic payment system. In the same year, the project received an official bank certificate as a service for electronic payments and bank transfers, overtaking other payment systems in this matter. The list of Yandex.Money users totals 18 million people, and every day this figure is replenished by 12 thousand.

Users can install the payment system wallet on a mobile device, on a computer in the form of a program, or use the service online. Wallet owners can pay for purchases, receipts and invoices. In this case, funds are debited at the user's choice either from an account in the payment system or from a bank card. In payment terminals using Yandex.Money, you can select the required provider and complete the transaction using cash.

One of the features of the Yandex service is the ability to make payments to unregistered users. Official wallet owners can order a plastic card linked to the Yandex.Money system and set up reminders.

All of the above sites are included in the list of Russian payment systems. Often Internet users have to resort to the services of international systems for settlements. Typically, most foreign online stores and applications work with PayPal.

PayPal

This is the undisputed leader, which in world rankings bypasses other electronic payment systems. The list of PayPal wallet owners is over 170 million people. The system was found to be very convenient and safe. But the electronic service is not very hospitable to the residents of Russia and a number of countries of the former Soviet Union.

Some operations are still inaccessible to a resident of our country. And if we take into account the list of available currencies for settlements in the system, then a rather strange fact was the long absence of the ruble, but the presence of 18 other currencies, including the Hong Kong dollar or the Polish zloty.

Nobody hid the reasons for such measures at PayPal. The point is in distrust of the inhabitants of Russia and an attempt to protect the system from fraudsters and violators, who, according to the creators of the service, live in abundance in the Russian Federation and the CIS countries.

Payment systems are a convenient modern service. The vast majority of users believe that the future is behind such technologies. The list of payment systems is constantly growing, and existing projects are evolving and improving. If someone still does not have a wallet in the electronic service of the payment system, then they must definitely get one.

Electronic payment systems have become a very dense part of our life. It is so convenient for us to pay for services or goods via the Internet that we have long considered it the norm. But quite recently it was just fantastic. The world of high technologies, e-wallets and electronic money have made it completely normal, even mundane, and our new reality.

With the development of trade and services for our society, methods, rules and whole educational disciplines of successful sales arose and improved. It is no longer news that in this industry, the buyer will get any whim for his money. Even the most tricky and unimaginable requests come true if they are paid for. With regard to payment, everything is organized for the convenience of the buyer and seller. Today we have a huge number of options for how to pay for your order, product, service, and much more that is only included in everyday life.

One of these options is the well-known and active electronic payment systems.

What is EPS (electronic payment systems)

From the very name of this service, there is a fairly clear understanding that an electronic payment system is a system organized to pay for services through online services, a program, a card that allows you to transfer money to an account immediately, without actions with banknotes.

It is believed that the emergence of electronic money circulation directly affects the evolution of money, the development of the culture of money and their activity. Developing as a type of cash payment, EPS has already proven itself on the positive side. Many organizations and enterprises have chosen the electronic method of payment, not to mention Internet services, in which this payment system is the main one.

The history of the development of electronic payment systems

1871 can be considered the year of birth of electronic payment systems. It was then that the already well-known Western Union company made the world's first electronic money transfer. Of course, it cannot be called electronic for sure, since it was carried out using telegraph messages. Since then, Western Union has successfully used its invention. But not only this company has adopted this type of money turnover.

In 1980, the already modernized system was used by a Dutch company, whose goal was to create a reliable and fast payment system. Such reliability was achieved by the company by operating with debt obligations. The company was called eCash and was founded by David Chaum, a Dutch analyst who modernized the Western Union system.

One of these companies, which is considered one of the first and oldest in electronic payment systems, is E-Gold. Having started her march in the electronic money business, she quite loudly and successfully became bankrupt, and her leadership was convicted of fraud.

In 1998, electronic payment systems first appeared in Russia. Represents EPS in Russia Pay Cash. This electronic system got its start as a joint project of three Russian companies: Tavrichesky Bank, ALKOR Company and Aerospace Equipment Corporation.

And already in 1999 the well-known WebMoney appeared, which still dominates the market of electronic payment systems.

The year 2002 became just as important for the development of EPS, since that year an agreement was signed on the creation of the “RUpay” system. The importance lies in the fact that the contract was concluded between Russian and Ukrainian programmers.

Today we can say that the main driver of the development of electronic payment systems is the development of the communications sector: Internet technologies, mobile services and the work of banks.

What is electronic money

With the advent and beginning of active use in the world of electronic payment systems, concepts related to this process begin to appear. One of these concepts is electronic money.

Electronic money- a certain monetary equivalent of the user of the payment system, which is recorded and stored on an electronic medium in electronic form. Used for online payment, transfers, payments.

This payment instrument has its own varieties:

  • Based on smart cards. Such cards are directly linked to bank accounts and represent a certain amount that the card user controls. The most famous payment systems on this basis: Visa cash, ecash, proton. Such systems allow you to pay for Internet purchases, store money in several currencies, and you can use telephone communications to manage this system. But this method is not perfectly safe, since it is simply impossible to keep track of the legality of all operations.
  • Network-based. For an electronic system of such a money turnover, it is necessary to install a certain program. Such programs are free and with the development of the capabilities of mobile devices, mobile applications for such systems have been created. Basically, EPS-based networks are chosen by users who deal with making money on the Internet, purchasing goods through online stores, or firms that want to expand the forms of accepting payments for their services.
  • There are also other classifications of electronic money, which determine the type of anonymity, state and non-state type, and so on.

Electronic payment systems in Russia

In Russia, payment systems are widespread and have become a very dense part of our life. We also pay for services and goods over the Internet using various electronic wallets.

Let's list the main payment systems and wallets that are used in Russia:

  1. WebMoney
  2. Qiwi wallet
  3. Yandex money
  4. Paypal
  5. Payeer
  6. Rapida
  7. Perfect money
  8. Okpay
  9. Liqpay
  10. AdvCash
  11. Bitcoin
  12. Z-payment
  13. RBK Money

There are, of course, other payment systems in Russia, we have only listed the main ones.

Popular Russian payment systems

Consider the most popular Russian electronic systems:

Electronic payment system WebMoney

WebMoney distributed in Russia and neighboring countries. This program requires mandatory registration with the provision of a photocopy of the passport to obtain, without which, you will not be able to fully operate with your capital.

After registering and receiving a passport, you will have access to electronic wallets of various currencies, which will have an identification number, which will be the main information for transferring funds to it. With this system, you can pay for services, make payments, make exchange transactions.

You will be offered 4 options for managing your funds in WebMoney Keeper: mobile, mini, light, classic. You choose the one that suits you best in terms of parameters.

The undoubted advantage of the WebMoney electronic wallet is its versatility, namely the ability to transfer and pay for goods and services in various currencies. The most popular wallets in WebMoney:

  • WMR - Russian rubles
  • WMZ - American dollars
  • WME - Euro
  • WMB - Belarusian rubles
  • WMU - Ukrainian hryvnia

Since the system has a huge audience of users, there are practically no problems with payment in the Internet space with its help. She also has an extensive list of companies, shops and government agencies that support payments through WebMoney.

The advantage is the ability to withdraw funds in several ways, which will be offered by the system.

For the safety of operations for depositing and withdrawing funds, the system has programmed an automatic blocking of your account. This moment, having studied user reviews, is not always adequate and sometimes wallets are blocked for no apparent reason and without an explanation from those support.

Electronic payment system Qiwi

Payment system life path Qiwi traces its roots back to 2006, when its name was still "Mobile Wallet". Subsequently, the name was changed in 2010.

Now "QIWI wallet" firmly holds the first positions among users. It should also be noted that Kiwi has won recognition from customers in 22 countries around the world. This system is considered one of the most flexible and mobile, providing diversified services.

This is a justified opinion, since today Qiwi provides an opportunity to deposit and withdraw funds in several different ways, it also offers a large list of payments for services and purchases. In addition, they are undoubtedly attracted by the low fees for transfers and the ability to make payments via SMS.

Among other advantages, in the qiwi service, you will find a convenient "reminder" that will notify you in advance about the required payment. The interface of the site and the mobile application will also delight; everything here is accessible and understandable even for a beginner. A system that offers a service for issuing a virtual or plastic card.

One of the disadvantages of Qiwi is the impossibility of entering a payment in the amount of more than 15 thousand at a time. The inconvenience lies in the partial input of funds. Qiwi has as its goal the user's work only within the system, so any withdrawal of funds outside will be problematic and taxed with a high percentage. Plus, there were numerous complaints about annoying advertisements of partners that regularly come to you.

Electronic payment system Yandex money

Yandex money recognized as one of the most versatile PS (payment systems) in Russia. It is chosen by those who make money using the Internet and those who choose online purchases and pay for services online.

Payment system Yandex-money offers a choice of two options for work - these are:

  • Yandex. Wallet - you can get to this wallet directly through the Yandex money website. That is, you can enter it from any computer.
  • Internet. A wallet is a program that is installed on a computer or mobile device.

You can choose one or have both, they are in no way related to each other and may have a different balance. You must also understand that their registration is also different, so you cannot use the input data of one wallet to get into another.

Yandex money has all the same advantages as other PSs, but in addition, there is an easier registration procedure and a more convenient option for working with the system (Yandex wallet, Internet wallet)

As for the disadvantages, everything is more serious here, firstly, the system does not recognize manipulations with any other currency except rubles. Secondly, there is nothing for legal entities to do here. Only individuals are allowed to manage their capital in this system. In addition, there is no anonymity (request for passport data during registration) and a high commission for withdrawing funds.

All of the above, however, does not prevent Yandex money from remaining in the top three most popular and chosen payment systems.

Electronic payment systems in China

Now more than ever, the question of the formation of a complete and correct understanding of China's electronic payment systems is acute, since now they offer to build an Internet business with China to everyone who is at least somehow interested in this and has free time. Trading platforms of Chinese industrialists attract Russian customers, firstly by their variety of products, and secondly by their price. In order to make a purchase, you need to get acquainted with the main leaders of China's EPS, so as not to become victims of cyber charlatans.

So, today, China's electronic payment systems can be considered reliable and profitable in terms of the range of services provided:

Alipay

Alipay(the largest and most famous payment system in China) was created in 1999 and was supposed to be an intermediary between monetary manipulations between two other companies, but in 2004, already confident in these matters, the development group proposed to create their own PS.

According to many users, the company offers really favorable terms of cooperation: registration is free, no interest on withdrawals. True, there are some limits on withdrawal of funds, which you will be sure to familiarize with during registration.

The well-known platform Aliexpress cooperates with Alipey and creates a special version of Ali wallet, for more affordable payment for goods from this platform and other platforms with the Alibaba Group.

Tenpay

You can start right away with the minuses of this payment system, since there are enough of them, and this system does not shine with pluses or differences. So, the first and main disadvantage that left a negative aftertaste is the problem of registration. Requirements and restrictions on the entered characters, moreover, it cannot be said that the choice of this system will be justified if your goal is to pay for purchases, with the same success, but more affordable you will turn a deal on Alipay.

The only people who choose this system for themselves are those who like to play Chinese online games. QQ money is needed there. Here you can also give you advice: find a Chinese. 🙂 If you are not strong in the Chinese language, then you cannot do without its help. It sounds surprising, but in China, this PS is ranked second in the ranking.

UnionPay

UnionPay was founded in 2002 as a national payment system, which remains, to this day, the only state-owned PS, with the support of the Central Bank of the PRC. First of all, it must be said that the system is more coordinated for the issuance of plastic cards than for the circulation of money on the basis of networks.

UnionPay was first spotted in Russia in 2007. Holders of such cards in Russia are allowed to pay for Internet services and purchases, cash out. It is more difficult to put money on the card: it is prohibited at the legislative level. But together with Russian banks, work is underway to resolve the issue and allow Russian banks to service these cards.

In 2013, UnionPay became a Russian payment system, as evidenced by its entry into the register of Russian payment systems.

As for the development of the system based on networks, it is there, but not so successfully in comparison with plastic cards.

PayEase

PayEase Is a large payment system in China that works only with legal entities. In 2014 it was recognized as the most popular. PayEase cooperates with the world's largest organizations. Has established itself as a reliable, secure, convenient for conducting transactions. The company has a certificate of a qualified service provider from VISA, has developed platforms for carrying out its activities in many countries of the world.

These were the largest and most famous for their reliability, adequacy and speed, payment systems in China. Smaller companies do not differ in any other range of services offered and working conditions.

Types of electronic payment systems

There are two main types of EPS:

  • Credit systems
  • Debit systems

The first systems imply the management of money via the Internet and by means of credit cards. In this case, a credit card is considered an element of personal account management. You choose a more accessible and convenient electronic money management option.

Debit systems are electronic versions of paper checks and bills. Essentially, it is the payer's prescribed obligation to transfer to their bank account.

Electronic receipts differ from paper receipts a little:

  • Your signature will be electronic
  • The check will also be issued in electronic format.

There is a procedure for making a payment using an electronic check:

  1. Issuance of an electronic check and certification with its electronic signature.
  2. Sending a check to the recipient with the blocking of the checking account with the bank's public key (done for the security of the operation).
  3. Acceptance of the PS check and checking it and your signature for authenticity.
  4. After verification of authenticity, the operation ends with the delivery of the goods to the recipient and the transfer of money to the seller.

Electronic money is also analogous to paper bills, but in electronic form. They can also be used to pay for goods and services.

Advantages and disadvantages of payment systems

Today, at a time of technological progress, electronic payment systems have taken a leading position and create serious competition for paper payments. Millions of people around the world already know about the convenience and reliability of EPS, and that is why more and more people choose this type of capital management, preferring it to any others.

Here are the main advantages thanks to which electronic payment systems have taken a confident position in the business of money circulation:

  1. The ability to make payments, transfers and other monetary manipulations without banknotes.
  2. The speed of money transfers and other money transactions is many times higher than the outdated postal orders and transfers through the bank.
  3. You can perform monetary manipulations without leaving your home. This accessibility is explained by the fact that literally in a matter of minutes the user can go through a simple registration in any PS convenient for him and start working.
  4. The security of these payment systems has already proven its reliability. Special bindings to phone numbers, identification through a password request and communication with a computer. If you follow the rules prescribed by the system, then you will not be affected by cyber fraudsters or unscrupulous buyers or payers.
  5. Compared to ATMs and banks, it is much more profitable to pay for services through payment systems, since in no PS does the commission exceed 1% of the total payment amount.
  6. The system keeps statistics of your debit and credit for you. You will always be aware of the infusion of money into the account and their consumption. This pretty handy statistics is present in certain sections in all software without exception and your personal PS accounts.

Of course, electronic payment systems have their drawbacks, which, however, do not prevent them from developing and being the most preferred payment option.

  1. No Warranties. Since the founders of the EPS are private organizations, one cannot speak of 100% confidence in the legitimacy of actions on the part of the administration of the system.
  2. You need to be a confident Internet user. Without an Internet connection, these systems do not work in most cases. But, is it really such a minus, in our age of Internet technologies, when most aspects of our life are already connected, in one way or another, with the Internet.
  3. In some cases, to get a complete list of tools for managing your wallet, you will need to enter personal data: TIN, passport data. Using this data, the state tax office can have access to all information on your accounts.

Electronic payment systems are constantly improving, expanding their capabilities and starting cooperation with new companies. Therefore, today, little popularity and a limited range of services and purchases with payment through EPS cannot be called a significant drawback. But at the moment there is a negative aspect of the paucity of the list of EPS partners.

conclusions

Today, the world wide web offers us not only an information flow, but also the provision of real services and goods, which is why electronic payment systems have become so popular today.

  1. Established internet business
  2. Convenience of payment for services and online purchases
  3. Clear control over your budget
  4. Safe storage of funds (small amounts)

These days, electronic payment systems have not yet reached full acceptance and continue to evolve. It is expected that financial institutions in the future will rely on such payment systems and thus will give rise to even greater innovations in the field of EPS.

Electronic payment systems updated: February 7, 2018 by: admin

Over three years ago I wrote a post about accepting payments on my past project. A lot of time has passed since then, and a lot has changed in the methods of accepting payments. Now I will tell you how I did the acceptance of payments on the website poiskvps.ru.

Currently, the task looks exactly the same: I needed to make it so that an individual could accept payments from users automatically on his website, with low turnover.

From a technical point of view, when paying, the following operations are performed: the user is issued an invoice for payment, the user chooses a convenient payment method, goes to the site of the payment system, makes a payment and returns to the site. In case of successful payment, the payment system notifies the store that the user has paid the invoice.

Sample html code for integration:

example of payment through the Web Merchant Interface service

pay 1 WMZ ...

Of the advantages of this payment system, I can note the presence of a "sandbox", which makes the process of setting up and debugging more pleasant.

For any operation, the system takes a standard commission of 0.8% and, unlike all other payment systems, this commission is taken from the buyer, and not deducted from the amount that the seller receives. I had no technical difficulties with setting up payments, the system works correctly and does not cause any problems. After setting up the store, you need to go through moderation, which, as a rule, takes place within 24 hours.

QIWI wallet

I have not had the most pleasant impressions from this payment system. Firstly, quite unexpectedly, the commission for transactions was tripled: from 1% to 3%, and secondly, qiwi's technical support leaves much to be desired. You can wait for an answer for weeks, and the quality of such answers is extremely low. At some point, on a working site, in which absolutely nothing has changed, payments through this payment system ceased to be made. The problem turned out to be on the side of qiwi and consisted in the incorrect signature of the payment notification. As a result, any request from qiwi was not processed in the system due to the incorrect signature of this request. Technical support could not solve the problem for a week and a half ...

This payment system offers to use either an invoice form, which is installed on the site in the form of a frame, or, similarly to the previous payment systems, use an html form.

RoboKassa

Robokassa is not a payment system, but is an aggregator - a service through which you can make payments in various ways, from WebMoney to banks and communication salons.

Not so long ago, Robokassa's website was updated and became more user-friendly.

The documentation is written in sufficient detail so that I did not have any problems with the connection. Link to documentation: www.robokassa.ru/ru/Doc/ru/Interface.aspx
Of the advantages, similar to WebMoney, there is a sandbox and the work can be tested without sending real money.

Robokassa offers to use on its website either universal buttons or html code with advanced features.

Sample html code

RoboKassa takes a fairly large commission (sometimes up to 12%) and, which is not very convenient, this commission is always debited from the user.

RBK Money

For quite a long time I have been working with RBKMoney. There were not many payments through this system, there were no problems with setting up or working, so while developing poiskvps.ru I decided to add this PS as well. Of the advantages, I can point out high-quality technical support - at any time of the day or night they have an online chat in which you can talk to a living person.

Unfortunately, on May 23, information appeared that RBKMoney is terminating cooperation with individuals:

Therefore, accepting payments through this PS was suspended, although it was quite convenient to work with them.

I did not start working with this rather popular PS because of the large size of the commission. Fixed commission in the amount of 10 rubles. for each successful payment with small transaction amounts makes the use of this PS unprofitable. With a turnover of less than 300 thousand rubles. per month PayPal takes 3.9% of the turnover and 10 rubles. for each operation. Accordingly, when conducting an operation in the amount of 100 rubles. PayPal deducts almost 14% of this amount. PS offers work at different rates for micropayments (up to 300 rubles): 5-6% of turnover and 2 rubles. for the operation. But this offer also loses to other PSs (for example, Yandex.Money).
But - true, so far only in the United States.

Money withdrawal

Well, now the most interesting thing: what you can spend your honestly earned money on.

Yandex money offers to spend money without commission online or to issue a bank card, which can be used to pay in stores also without commission. For withdrawing funds to a bank account, the commission is 3% + 15 rubles.

WebMoney offers to spend money in online stores (with a standard commission of 0.8%). The system also offers to transfer money by bank transfer without additional extra charges. The cost of a payment order is only 15 rubles + standard commission. The money is credited to the account, as a rule, within a day.

QIWI offers the only withdrawal method - to your own qiwi wallet. Then - spend in online stores or issue a bank card for purchases in “real” retail outlets.

Robobox offers to withdraw money exclusively to WebMoney, and you do not need to pay a withdrawal commission. Those. if there are 1000 rubles on the account in Robokassa, then 1000 rubles will be in the WebMoney purse.

Outcomes

5th place: QIWI
wide network of terminals
high commission, difficulty of withdrawal, poor support

4th place: PayPal
known system
large commission at low turnovers

3rd place: Robokassa
many ways to accept payments
big commission

2nd place: WebMoney
Low commission, cheap withdrawal
need to go through tedious identification

1st place: Yandex.Money
low commission, the ability to accept bank cards
expensive "cashing".

If you are planning to make money online, you will certainly be interested in ways to make money. Indeed, in this case, you do not meet with the employer (customer) in person: all operations are carried out remotely, banknotes do not pass from hand to hand. In this case, you will have to resort to the help of electronic payment systems and come to terms with the idea of the need to register with any of them. In addition, EPS can be used to transfer funds to any distance, pay for all kinds of services and goods ordered in online stores. In modern conditions, it is not only very convenient, but also as safe as possible. The presence of an electronic wallet (or better than several) greatly simplifies life. Tested in practice!

History of electronic payments

Western Union, founded back in 1851, is considered to be the forerunner of all electronic payment services (EPS). Its main activity was focused on the consolidation of financial institutions throughout the United States. Already two decades after the start of work, the company had an extensive communications network connecting the banks of the United States from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. It was then, in 1871, that the first remote payment by telegraph was carried out. He laid the foundation for non-cash financial transactions around the world.

A qualitatively new leap forward was the creation of the first PS on the Internet that used digital cash. The pioneer in this area is the E-Gold company, which developed not only the transaction system, but also the software for it back in 1996. It still exists today, using a troy ounce of gold as a unit of calculation, that is, actually secured digital cash. True, the company's business has been far from rosy lately.

E-Gold has not been a monopoly in this area for long: its innovation has provoked the birth of many EPS around the world. They came to Russia already in 1998 and in two decades have linked tens of millions of individuals and legal entities into a single financial network. The well-known payment system "WebMoney" became a pioneer, firmly entrenched in the domestic market, but the Russian giant Yandex.Money is catching up with this company by leaps and bounds.

Why start a virtual wallet?

Conducting financial transactions in modern conditions without using the Internet is unthinkable. Cash is needed, perhaps, for school and kindergarten contributions and the purchase of goods on the market. In all other cases, crunching bills is not necessary: there are bank cards, there are electronic wallets.

Web wallets are a kind of storage of funds of users of specific services, in fact, similar to bank accounts. They can be replenished in all sorts of ways: from a card, terminal, through partner organizations, and so on, the withdrawal options differ in a wide variety. Within the PS, you can make all kinds of transactions, including transfers of funds between accounts. Most freelancers receive profits in this way: it is convenient and does not involve unnecessary intermediaries in their activities.

If you seriously decide to make money online, you will have to create at least one virtual wallet. And a few are better: at the peak of your career, you will have to cooperate with several customers, possibly from different countries, and it will be a shame to miss out on profitable offers just because of the impossibility of making payments. The fact is that not all PSs actively cooperate with each other: for example, it is difficult and expensive to transfer money from Yandex to WebMoney and vice versa: the main competitors in the Russian market do not get along well with each other. But not very popular payment systems usually cooperate with giants: otherwise they will not survive in the fierce competition.

Benefits of electronic payments

Registration of accounts and use of EPS both for work and in everyday life, has a lot of advantages:

  • Performance... The registration procedure takes a maximum of 10-15 minutes. It takes some time to check documents, but here we are already talking about the user's safety. But after account verification, transactions within the systems are performed almost instantly, regardless of distances and borders. Funds are transferred over thousands of kilometers instantly.
  • Simplicity... Almost all services are designed as simply and thoughtfully as possible. Developers are vitally interested in increasing the number of users, therefore they focus on people with minimal user skills.
  • Benefit... In most cases, making purchases in online stores using electronic money is much more profitable than doing it in real retail outlets, paying in cash. As an additional bonus, you get the opportunity to control your own finances down to the penny - no additional records are required for this.
  • Extensive functionality... The more ramified and popular the payment system, the more opportunities it provides to the user. Through many services, you can make payments for utilities and other services, pay fines and taxes, repay loans and borrowings. An online exchanger can be built inside the PS, the possibility of online lending or automatic deduction of fixed amounts to certain accounts can be provided.
  • Safety... Almost all reputable services have multi-stage security systems. Some of them are provided by services for all users by default, others are optional. Almost all transactions require additional confirmation in the form of codes, which are sent via SMS, e-mail or using the innovative E-num authentication platform.

Most popular payment systems

At the moment, Runet users can use the services of two dozen Internet services of this type of varying degrees of popularity. Let's list the most frequently used EPS on the territory of Russia.

- one of the oldest and most authoritative EPS, created back in 1998. Now about a third of electronic settlements in Russia are made through this platform, and the number of users in the world is confidently approaching forty million. The technical support service and the head certification office are located in Moscow. Certification centers and guarantee banks are available in almost all countries.

Calculations within the service are carried out using the so-called "title units", equivalent to the currencies of different countries (WMR - Russian rubles, WMB - Belarusian rubles, WMZ - dollar, WME - euro, and so on). Title units in Russia are de jure not electronic money (that is, they do not have appropriate collateral), but they are successfully replaced. In the European Union, however, "WebMoney" have the appropriate legal status and are used in financial transactions everywhere.

After registration in the payment system, the user is automatically assigned the lowest certificate, "anonymous". This is followed by a formal certificate requiring the filling in of the personal data fields (the fields are filled in, but the documents are not checked). Getting an initial passport requires uploading scans of documents. The most popular VM passport is personal. It can be obtained at the certification center in person, upon presentation of identity documents, or by sending their notarized copies. The highest level, the registrar's certificate, allows you to certify new users and conduct exchange operations.

At the moment, for most payments, a commission of 0.8% is provided. However, when making transactions between participants with a level not lower than the initial one, no commission is charged. In addition, it is possible to make payments under protection: the transfer amount is blocked in the system and credited to the user's account only after entering the code.

Is a popular payment system that competes with WebMoney. The resource was registered in 2002, but a user interface close to the modern one appeared on it only three years later. This EPS is certified and makes settlements with electronic money equivalent to the Russian ruble.

Today in Russia this EPS is the most popular (over 30 million wallets). It is focused on mutual settlements in Russian rubles. With the help of Yandex.Money, it is convenient to pay utility bills, repay loans, pay taxes and fines, and make other tranches. The system also has its own payment aggregator, Yandex.Kassa, which is currently the best in Russian business: it serves the majority of domestic web resources. And not only domestic ones: recently Yandex.Kassa has also been connected to the Chinese website Ali-Express, which is in great demand in Russia.

Another advantage of this EPS is the availability of its own cards, both virtual and real plastic. In other words, you do not need to transfer money from wallet to card: the balance is replenished automatically.

The payment system assumes several user levels based on the degrees of identification. The maximum number of opportunities is provided with full account verification. The simplified procedure is available exclusively to citizens of the Russian Federation.

Is another popular EPS, often used in online settlements. Unlike the aforementioned systems, Qiwi provides for identification and binding to a wallet via a mobile phone. It was founded in 2007, and the number of users is growing every year, exceeding the impressive 20 million mark this year. Initially, "Kiwi" accepted payments for other EPS, but four years after its formation, it went on an "autonomous voyage".

Kiwi is perhaps the most modern Russian site of this type: in conditions of the highest competition, it is forced to go one step ahead and instantly introduce world innovations. It has an extensive network of terminals and traditional payment acceptance points, provides maximum opportunities for depositing and withdrawing funds. Qiwi is the first-born among domestic payment systems that have implemented blockchain technologies. It also has its own financial institution, Qiwi Bank.

Using this platform, you can pay utility bills, fines, taxes, air tickets, travel services, and participate in charity. The significant promotion of the resource was also facilitated by the issuance of credit cards with very attractive conditions for customers.

- the largest international EPS, widely represented in Russia. It exists and has been actively developing since 1998 and currently serves clients in more than two hundred countries around the world. The head office is located in the USA. Several advanced students, including ex-Russian Max Levchin, who later played a significant role in the development of Facebook, became the "parents" of the system.

The company developed almost independently for four years, but in 2002 PayPal merged with the colossus, gaining access to its multi-million dollar client base. However, the merger was of a temporary nature: now the companies, although they are partners, de jure retain their autonomy.

The advantages of the payment system include the ease of registration with many degrees of protection. Confirmation of the user's identity occurs through the card attached to the account: a certain amount (about $ 2) is debited from it, then returned again. When making purchases, all commissions fall on the seller: senders of payments are exempted from them. At the moment, for operations in Russian rubles, a commission is provided in the amount of 3.9% + 10 RUB, for conversion - from 2.5%, however, the transfer of Russian rubles to a bank account does not provide for commissions. Transactions within Russia at Paypal are carried out exclusively in national currency. There is no possibility of confirming the completed payment, but you can withdraw the transferred funds from the recipient's balance at any time.

- a world-class electronic payment service registered in Georgia in 2012. The company's activities are carried out under the license of the National Bank of Georgia, which has an international status. The company also operates in Russia, with its own representative office in Moscow. At the moment, the system unites about 10 million users.

This electronic payment system is developing intensively, finding original ways to withstand the competition. For example, the Payeer exchanger is currently one of the most popular in Russia. This is facilitated by two main factors: a small amount of commissions (2%), as well as the absence of the need to register for currency exchange.

Recently, Payeer has become the issuer of its own cards of the most popular MasterCard format, withdrawing funds from which is possible without commission. In general, the deposit of funds in EPS does not provide for commission fees, however, they can be collected by a third party (for example, the bank that issued the card with which the transaction is carried out).

The EPS has three user levels. The first is assigned automatically from the moment of registration, the second - after passing the identification, the third is intended exclusively for legal entities. Even the first level makes it possible to perform actions within the system, however, it limits the input and output of funds. Registration is carried out by entering personal data, including an email address. A PIN code is sent to it for most transactions. The EPS provides several degrees of protection, some of which are optionally connected by the user.

Is a multitasking payment system presented by creators from Johannesburg (South Africa) in 2000. At the moment, the company's central office is located in London. In 2007, Wallet One appeared on the Russian market.

EPS has more than a hundred ways to deposit funds and has its own payment aggregator. With Wallet One, you can pay for goods and services, top up your mobile phone balance, pay fines and taxes. It's nice that the commissions are quite tolerable: 1-3% depending on the operation, and some manipulations with accounts are generally free.

I would also like to note the resource's intuitive usability, focused on a user with minimal skills. It is possible to create templates, as well as make transfers with protection codes.

- a solid payment system with wide functionality. It is focused mainly on business and mutual settlements between legal entities, but no restrictions are imposed on the presence of ordinary individuals in the EPS.

Rapida has extensive functionality and a comfortable user interface. Many online stores and the ERIP system cooperate with it, which means that users will not have problems with paying for utilities, communication services, taxes, fines and other fees. The possibility of transferring funds both within the service and to third-party wallets is very well thought out. At the same time, EPS allows you to create custom templates and set up regular payments. You can use the attached phone number as the user ID.

The commission for transferring funds to bank accounts (including card accounts) is 5%, but for other transactions in favor of Russian financial institutions, it is reduced to a democratic 3%. Transfers within the system involve a fee of 0.5% of the total amount.

- the brainchild of mostly Ukrainian programmers and financiers. It was created back in 2002, and Russian specialists also had a hand in the birth of this payment system. At the moment, the platform is owned by nine different individuals who manage the holding as shareholders. This allows the EPS to carry out activities in many countries of the world.

The platform has an extensive network of terminals and partner organizations. Its services are used by over 7 million citizens in more than 60 countries around the world. The main clients of the service are legal entities: the reason is very attractive conditions and a comfortable connection to the online cash register.

The official resource of the service is justifiably proud of its well-designed interface and very perfect protection of user data. The procedure for registering and verifying data has been simplified to the limit, but, oddly enough, not at the expense of security. Verification of documents and identification of the user is carried out at most the next day after registering an account.

- a payment system used for transactions with electronic money around the world since 2007. It focuses on the security of payments and maximum protection of personal data, which attracts users of different levels and occupations. The company is registered in Panama, but management and technical support are provided from Zurich. The identification settings are made by the user himself, up to the use of unique code cards.

Service users are as anonymous as possible. The first user status, Normal, assigned automatically after registration, already allows you to use the entire functionality of the platform. The privileged level is focused on VIP-class services (for example, no restrictions on the amount of transactions, priority tranches), and there are many such users in the system. A user within one account can create up to six wallets, as well as attach affiliated subaccounts to it.

Perfect Money operates with the equivalents of the two most reputable world currencies: the euro and the US dollar.

- a fairly popular financial project focused primarily on legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. It has been successfully operating since 2007 and has a head office in Irkutsk. This is a completely and completely domestic development, aimed at making transactions in Russian rubles.

This payment system was purposefully created as a transactional platform for web resources. In fact, it is an electronic cash register, which is "screwed" to an online store. It allows you to automatically accept electronic payments from plastic cards, bank accounts, wallets of other systems, terminals, mobile phones - there are a lot of options. Funds are withdrawn mainly to bank accounts and cards.

You can start working with the system literally in 15 minutes from the beginning of registration. No money is charged for registering and linking the cash register to the site, and the service tariffs are quite tolerable.

- an international EPS, operating since 2001 (however, within ten years from the moment of its foundation, the platform was known as Moneybookers). The head office of the company is located in London. Now, due to the change in the company's policy, this platform is also represented in Russia, and Skrill cards are also circulating, the use of which is impossible in all other CIS countries.

Skrill is a payment system designed primarily for businesses. Regular users are also registered on this site: for them, using the EPS functionality is practically free (commissions are minimal). This makes Skrill quite popular with freelancers around the world and also provides it with a leadership role in online entertainment.

- a special payment service focused primarily on freelancers. It allows you to accept payments from customers around the world with zero commission. At the moment, this platform unites over half a million ordinary users, that is, individuals, and over a thousand companies. It operates in many currencies, including the Hong Kong dollar and the Indian rupee.

The service is relatively young, but rapidly developing. Its distinguishing feature is a fixed commission and many convenient tools. The registration and verification procedure is simple, the security system is modern, there are many applications that give access to the wallet from all gadgets. Now EPayments is working closely with Yandex.Money - funds can be transferred between payment systems for only 1% of the total amount.

Before choosing a payment service, pay attention to their representation in your country or region. For example, many of the platforms presented here are inaccessible or problematic in use for citizens of Russia, Ukraine and other states of the post-Soviet space. Other points of interest are also of practical interest: functionality, methods of depositing and withdrawing funds, commission rates, verification conditions, and so on. It will not be superfluous to inquire about reviews of the service on independent "otzoviki" (in this case, we mean all sites of this type, and not a specific resource of the same name).

And as a final chord, let me give you some safety tips:

  • Especially for work and actions in EPS, create a mailbox with a complex name. It is best to choose a reputable platform such as Google or Yandex: there is guaranteed a high degree of protection. Link your mail to your mobile phone, in which case it will be possible to quickly restore the lost access.
  • Come up with a complex password of letters and numbers. You can use a special generator, which at the same time will become a secure key store.
  • Change passwords periodically. Change access codes at least once every six months, and with active use of payment systems - monthly.
  • Store passwords in a safe place. In the age of information technology, the most reliable store of information is the user's brain. However, it is difficult to remember a multi-character password, therefore it is better to use the old-fashioned option: just write it down on paper and hide it away from prying eyes.
  • Configure the maximum security level. You can maximally protect every step: from logging into the system to performing transactions. Each transaction must require confirmation in any form convenient for you: SMS message, letter to an e-mail address, code in E-num.
  • Check your computer regularly for viruses. Use paid versions of antivirus programs: they are inexpensive, but they provide maximum security. You can lose much more on imperfect protection than you can save.
  • Never participate in magic wallet games or other dubious activities that promise unimaginable profits. All these are fraudulent schemes designed for careless users who forget about the location of the free cheese.

Most of the problems in using payment systems are associated with the illiteracy or carelessness of the users themselves. We hope that our publication today will help you close knowledge gaps and promote the smooth use of EPS in all areas of activity.
