What is Mi Cloud. Quick change of SMS status

Became the owner of a fitness bracelet from Xiaomi? But don't know how to connect your Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse to your smartphone and set up "Mi Fit" app to collect data from Mi Band? - Then our lesson on connecting and setting up the Mi Band 1S Pulse for the first time is designed to help you!

And you can see a detailed review of Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse.

Training
First, we need to recharge our Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse tracker - put it on charge for 1-2 hours so that the battery is fully charged.

The fact is that most bracelets come from the factory with a battery charge of 1%.

Start setting
First, we go to your app store and look for an app called "Mi Fit" - this is the official app from Xiaomi, created specifically for Mi Band.

Then we go into the smartphone settings and turn on the bluetooth - we don’t connect to anything specific, since our bracelet called "Mi" should connect automatically.

Setting up the Mi Fit app
After all the preparations, open our application and click on the bottom icon "Sign in".

Now we have reached the account linking page, where we will need to enter the current mobile phone number, since an SMS confirming registration with a code will be sent to it. We select the top item with the country code and look for our homeland - for Belarus, the field with the code is combined with the Barbados code.

For Russia there is a separate line, according to the alphabet.

After we have selected the required code, we must enter the phone number with the operator code (you do not need to enter the country code).

In the column "PW" we must enter the password - the password must be from 8 to 16 characters, including letters and numbers. For example, this: "Kfmr455mele" - this is very important (do not forget to rewrite or remember the password).

After entering the password, click on the "Create Mi Account" item.

Then we need to enter the code as in the picture to prove that we are not robots. Enter the code 1 in 1 as in the pictures, observing capital letters. After entering, click "OK".

After entering the code, you will be taken to the page for entering the secret code, which will be sent to your number via SMS, you only have one minute to enter the code - hurry up. In the window on the left, remove the inscription "Enter verfication code" and enter the code from SMS - press the "Next" button.

Registration is almost over, you get to your profile page, wait about 1-2 minutes until it is fully loaded and click on the "Sign in" button.

On the next page, we will be asked to come up with our nickname - enter any name in English and click on the "Next" button.

Now we proceed to personal data settings. On the next page, select your gender.

Then the date of birth.

Of course, you will also need to enter your current weight.

The last point is very interesting, since you need to choose how many steps you usually go in one day - this is very important, because based on this parameter, the application will calculate your "good" days, i.e. did you meet your norm today or not . For most, it will be quite normal to set 10,000 thousand steps for yourself - this is the norm of an ordinary person who does not even go in for sports, if you run (run distances of 5-10 km, then it will be optimal to set a value of about 18-20,000 steps). This setting can be changed in the future.

After you set the value of the number of steps taken, click on the "Finish" button and here I had a problem, since the button remained inactive (the setting was carried out on the iPhone 5S). If the same thing happened to you, then do not be nervous, but follow our instructions. Just close the application completely through the manager of running applications - do not be afraid, the connection settings will not be lost and you will not need to enter them again. We close the application.

And restart the "Mi Fit" application on your smartphone.

Here we are almost done with the first step. Now we need to directly "link" our Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse to the application in order to start measuring data. To do this, on the main page of the application, select the "Profile" item - it is located at the bottom left.

Now we are on the profile page, where we can connect our Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse to the application, and therefore to the smartphone. Select "Add device".

And choose our device "Mi Band".

Here you will need to act quickly - remove the bracelet capsule from the strap, if it was in it, and attach the front part (where the metal insert with LEDs is located) to the screen, exactly along the office, as shown on the application page. Wait until the capsule starts to vibrate, wait another 5-10 seconds and put your index finger on the front part (which Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse was applied to the smartphone). A confirmation should appear on the screen. By the way, each operating system has its own binding system, and on some versions of Android you just need to put your finger on the front part and wait for the vibration, this example of applying the tracker to the screen was described for an iOS device. After all these actions, you can receive a notification about the synchronization of the tracker and incoming calls on your smartphone - confirm this action and continue setting up.

After linking Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse to your phone, you will be taken to the most important tracker settings page. Let's look at each item individually:

  • Find band - activates vibration, helping to find a lost bracelet
  • Band position - a setting that corresponds to which hand you wear your 1S Pulse on
  • Other information related to software versions for the tracker and heart rate monitor, as well as its MAC address

After all the settings, click on the arrow in the upper left corner. You will return to the profile settings - there is nothing interesting for us here.

This completes the setup and the tracker should start its work - try to walk a little so that it starts counting your steps, but if this does not work, then the next chapter of our Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse connection is just for you.

Phone settings for Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse
The fact is that in most smartphones, in order to approve the collection of information about the number of steps and rhythm, you need to make some changes in the privacy settings. Therefore, we go to the phone settings and find the "Privacy" item (example on the iPhone).

We find the item "Health".

We see our application "Mi Fit" and open it.

Activate all available settings - done.

Now you can safely study the functionality of the application and what it is responsible for.

Functionality of the application "Mi Fit"
We open the main page of the application and see a circle - the circle will gradually fill up as you go through the steps, but the number of steps you need depends on the value that we set with you at the very beginning of the setup. If you pass the required number per day, then the bracelet will happily vibrate on your arm, and the application will count you one "Goal" - a point for a productive day. Also, this circle displays not only steps, but also the distance traveled and calories burned.

If you click on the arrow at the top right, then you can tell your friends about your successes.

If you click on this tab, you will be taken to a general graph of your sleep statistics, where you can see periods of alternating deep and light sleep. At the bottom there is a "History" button, where statistics are available in the context of weeks, months and even years.

We go to the main page and click on the "Weight" item - here we calculate the change in your weight.

We go back to the main page and open the "Heart rate" item - here we can measure our pulse. To do this, click on the tab itself and go to the heart rate calculation page.

To calculate the pulse on Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse, we need to press the "Measure" button at the very bottom.

After that, we get to a page where we are shown how to correctly position the bracelet - ideally, you should position it with the inside of it towards the veins and not move. Click on the "Got it" button at the very bottom.

Your heart rate is being read.

We return to the main page again and pay attention to the very last paragraph, in which the statistics of our successful days are kept - those days when we passed our step rate.

This concludes all available data for analysis.

Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse settings for interaction with a smartphone
We return to the main page again and select the "Play" item at the very bottom in the middle.

Here we can connect the notification of incoming calls to your smartphone. And also set the time and days for the alarm. To be notified of incoming calls, simply select "Incoming call" on the left.

Then activate the mode and choose how long to start vibrating the bracelet after the start of an incoming call.

To set an alarm, return to the previous page and select "Alarm".

Here you have three different alarm clocks available, in which you can set the time as you like - taking into account days and frequency. A smart alarm clock is also available for Android, which selects the most comfortable moment for waking up.

The alarm clock is easy to set by day of the week.

General information about Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse
We go to the main page and select the "Profile" item at the very bottom of the page, all data about your activity is available here.

A little lower there is an opportunity to change the rate of steps, if you are going to increase your pace - the "Activity goal" item.

That's all the whole process of connecting Xiaomi Mi Band 1S Pulse to the phone and setting it up is over - we wish you success!

Our detailed instructions will help you set up and connect the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 fitness bracelet, as well as explain how to use it in tandem with the Mi Fit app.

This elegant sports bracelet is designed for sports enthusiasts and beginner fitness athletes. With it, you can track your heart rate, calories burned, distance covered, and sleep quality. All data can be synced with your phone and analyzed on the mobile app, helping you plan your exercise time and intensity.

How to assemble

The assembly is nothing complicated. You need to insert the module into the silicone strap. The company in its instructions recommends doing this from the back of the bracelet. Otherwise, you will stretch the cell, as a result of which the tracker will eventually fall out of it during active hand movements.

How to enable/disable

Turns on Mi Band 2 by pressing a single button on the display. Since the tracker understands gestures, to view the data on the screen, it is enough to raise it. You need to configure this function through the Mi Fit mobile application (see how to connect).

Go to the Profile menu, select from the Mi Band 2 devices, then move the slider to activate in the "Click Efficiency" item. In this case, the item "View information" must be activated.

By default, when unpacking the product, the tracker is already enabled. But if this is not the case, you need to put it on charge. The display will turn on automatically.

There is no way to turn off Mi Band 2. Some users wait until the gadget is completely discharged to turn it off. Remember that the complete discharge of the gadget leads to a subsequent deterioration of its battery. Try to charge it without allowing the discharge to zero.

How to charge

You can charge the bracelet from a computer using the charger that is offered in the kit. To do this, you need to remove the tracker from the bracelet and firmly install it in a special cell on the cable.

HOW TO CONNECT XIAOMI MI BAND 2 TO ANDROID SMARTPHONE OR iPhone

The bracelet itself will not work. It is connected to a PC, tablet, and most often to a smartphone through the Mi Fit application.

If you are a Windows Phone owner, you need to deal with the Bind Mi Band mobile program. But we will talk about a program that is suitable for Android or iOS smartphones.

Android 4.4 or iOS 7 system and newer versions will work fine. There must also be a Bluetooth 4.0 LE module to connect the smartphone to the tracker.

In our instructions, we used the Mi Fit 3.0.1 application.

This is the official app for Mi Band 2. Android device users need to launch the Google Play Store and find the app.

iPhone iOS users can get from the Apple store.

MI FIT APP. SETUP GUIDE

After installing and connecting the Mi Fit software to your phone, you can make the available settings to use the full functionality of the fitness bracelet. Consider the main menu items in the software interface.

At the bottom of the main page are the menu tabs Statistics, Activity and Profile and the first tab is open by default.

Important! The bracelet collects all statistics based on the data of your actions: activity, sleep, load, etc., which it recognizes automatically. There are no settings for the type of pedometer, time and sleep in the tracker. For more accurate indicators, you can manually start some of the physical activities, which will be discussed below.

STATISTICS

Statistics is a large section, where in each of the items you are provided with detailed information in digital form or in graph format for a certain period of your activity.

At the top of the page is a large circle, the so-called status, in the center of which is displayed the number of steps you have taken, as well as the distance and calories burned. By clicking on it, you will be taken to a detailed overview of this data: statistics for today and the last 30 days.

The Statistics section itself provides the following information.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that the smart bracelet can distinguish between sleep phases, the company has deprived its users of waking up with a smart alarm clock. It's not in the tracker. But with the help of third-party software it can be installed.

How to measure the pulse on Xiaomi Mi Band 2

There is no automatic heart rate measurement in Mi Band 2. To read the heart rate, you need to call the required menu item with the touch button, and also try to be stationary for more accurate data. The tracker screen will display the number of beats per minute, but the indicators will not be saved. In this case, you need to use the Mi Fit application and the path Statistics -> Pulse -> Measure. Indicators of the number of heart contractions can be memorized.

During running and intense training, you will not be able to measure the pulse. Only in a static position and during sleep by turning on the Sleep Assistant function.

Smartphone camera control

With Mi Band 2, controlling the camera on your smartphone becomes even easier. In order to take a selfie using the gadget button on your hand, you need to use two applications preinstalled on your phone.

The first is through which you need to shoot, and the second is Mi Band 2 Selfie, which allows the wearable device to use its button as a remote control for the camera of a mobile device.

When starting the latter, you need to enter the MAC, then click the "connect" button. In this case, the "disconnect" button should appear: it means that the connection was successful and the smart bracelet will vibrate.

Open Free Camera on your phone and press the button on Mi Band 2.

If the software does not work for some reason, you need to turn Bluetooth off and on again on your phone. Some users get to connect their gadget not the first time. You may have to do this up to 3-4 times.

Mi Band 2 can also switch music on your smartphone's player. This feature is available thanks to the free Mi Band 2 Func Button application from the Google Play store, which you can download to your mobile gadget.

This software will give access to various additional functions that are activated by pressing once, twice and three times on the button of the bracelet, as well as by turning the brush. And among these additions is music player control, including switching tracks, pausing, selecting and starting music.

As the name of the program suggests, it deals with the many functions associated with pressing a button on a wearable device on your wrist. It has a lot of settings related not only to music, but also to the timer, vibration, reset and acceptance of an incoming call, alarm sound and volume control.

The interface is intuitive, the main thing is to take the time to figure out what's what.

Conclusion

For a fitness band at such a low price, it's quite a comprehensive device with the ability to pair with a smartphone to provide more detailed information.

Beautiful, lightweight and comfortable to wear with a huge selection of interchangeable straps in a variety of colors, this bracelet is IP67 dust and water resistant so you don't have to take it off every time you wash your hands or take a shower. And the function of displaying various information on its screen is one of the useful features for users who do not want to miss a single notification from social networks or email, but at the same time do not take their smartphone out of their bag.

We hope that our instructions helped you set up the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 correctly. If you have something to add, write in the comments. Feedback and experience with this inexpensive yet feature-packed device is also welcome.

This guide will help you understand the functions of Xiaomi Mi Band 2: how to use its capabilities and configure them through the Mi Fit program.

This fitness bracelet was originally released for those who are fond of sports or just starting to get into fitness. However, over time, it began to be bought by those who simply want to track their daily activity data, the number of calories burned per day and the quality of sleep. For example, I use it mainly for this. Unlike Xiaomi Mi Band 1s, this model has a small display with which the user can see the data and can also control gestures.

To start using the tracker, you need to collect it. This is done in an elementary way: insert the bracelet capsule from the inside into the silicone strap that comes with the kit, with the display facing up. Next, turn on Mi Band by pressing the only button near the display. We have already mentioned that this version of the bracelet has gesture control - you just need to raise your hand with the bracelet, as if watching the time on a watch, to view the data.

To set up this feature, in the Mi Fit app, go to "Profile", tap on the name of the tracker and activate the sliders near the labels "View Information" and "Click Efficiency". By the way, before the first use, we recommend that you charge Xiaomi Mi Band 2. You cannot turn off the fitness bracelet manually, you can only wait until it is completely discharged, but we do not recommend doing this in order to avoid battery deterioration.

Programs for work

To always have access to the statistics of steps and other information that the fitness bracelet collects, you need to download the Mi Fit program (if you have an Android or iPhone phone) or the Bind Mi Band program (if you have a Windows Phone). Your smartphone must also have a working bluetooth module to connect the phone to the tracker and collect high-quality statistics.

For our guide, we used the Mi Fit program:

  1. Download the official app to your smartphone from Google Play or the App Store and launch it. We allow the program access to personal data.
  2. Click on "Entrance" and enter the username and password from the Mi account. If you are using a Xiaomi device for the first time, you need to create an account.

Personally, I have been using this program for quite a long time and I consider it the best of all offered in the Play Market.

Mi account registration

Signing up for an account is very easy, and now we'll show you how.

  1. Click the button "Create an account".
  2. Enter personal data (email address, country, date of birth) and click on Create account.
  3. We come up with a password and enter it in the appropriate field, then enter the captcha and click on Submit.
  4. Go to your email and confirm your registration by clicking on the link in the email.

Ready! Now you can open the Mi Fit app again and log in to your account using your email address and the password you created earlier. After that, in the profile, we indicate the rest of the data, such as gender, weight, height, pseudonym, and so on. You can also set a daily goal here based on your daily activities, such as the number of steps you wish to take per day.

Synchronization with phone

After the profile is completed, the program will prompt you to turn on Bluetooth on your phone and connect to the bracelet. Turning on the bluetooth, go to the profile interface and click on the button "Add device"- Band. Next, the application will automatically search for the tracker and notify you of the find by vibration. Follow the instructions on the display - press the button and wait a couple of seconds until the connection is established.

Program interface

Upon completion of the connection, the user can configure the functionality of the tracker at his discretion. Let's take a closer look at the most important items on the menu. Below on the main page you can see the following tabs: "Statistics", "Profile" and "Activity". Let's start with the first tab that was already open.

  1. Statistics. Here the program displays complete information about your activity for the selected period of time. At the top you will see a circle. In its center, the number of steps taken per day is written, as well as calories burned and the distance traveled. Click on the circle and see more detailed statistics for the last month. In addition, in the statistics tab, you can view the owner's sleep data for the last 24 hours, indicating the duration of each phase and even the moments of awakening. You can also take your heart rate and view your latest heart rate, track and analyze your weight, and view your last week's activity data.
  2. Activity. Here, the wearer of the bracelet can turn on and analyze all personal physical activity data, such as cycling, walking, running, etc. At the top right there is a settings button, such as turning on the voice assistant, always-on display, setting the pace, warning about too much high heart rate and more.
  3. Profile. In this section, you can configure the tracker and its functions: unlocking the smartphone using a bracelet, call notifications, SMS messages and messages from applications, alarm settings, a reminder to get up and move around. Also here you can turn on the search for a lost bracelet, configure visibility settings for other devices, specify the location of the tracker, make settings for the data displayed on the display, and the date and time format. In addition, the second version of Mi Band has the function of measuring the heart rate at night every 10 minutes so that information about the quality of sleep is more complete and accurate. However, you need to remember that this will drain the battery much faster.

Other functions

  1. in case of loss, sale or for other reasons.
  2. Setting goals for greater motivation to study.
  3. Synchronization of account data with the Google Fit program.
  4. Activity tags: A function to view the types and history of personal physical activity.
  5. Change data units.
  6. Enable/disable messages in the notification center of the smartphone.
  7. Check for updates to the program or firmware of the tracker.
  8. Information about the program and feedback from developers.
  9. You can turn on the smart alarm function using third-party apps.

The process of measuring the pulse

Unfortunately, the Mi Band fitness bracelet is in automatic mode and during sports. In order to do this, in the tab "Statistics" you must click on the corresponding item, then horizontally raise your hand to the level of the abdomen and try not to move to collect the most accurate statistics. You can also view the heart rate data by simply calling the function you need with the touch key on the bracelet, but remember that in this case the data will not be written to the program.

Conclusion

This fitness bracelet is a great solution for users who go in for sports or simply want to track their activity. At such a low price, it contains the maximum possible number of functions. The tracker is easy to use, attractive in appearance and very practical, as it is protected from dust and moisture - you can even take a shower with it. You can change the silicone straps by choosing the color of your choice, and the notification of events in applications will allow you not to miss any important messages and calls even if the phone is hidden deep in the bag.

In addition, Mi Band has the most capacious and long-term battery among all released trackers at the moment. It allows you to use all the functions for up to 1 month without recharging, and the charge recovery process itself takes no more than 2 hours.

We hope that this guide helped you figure out how to use Xiaomi Mi Band 2. Comments and feedback are welcome!

To date, mobile technologies have entered the life of almost every person and occupy a leading position in it, if we talk about the frequency of use of certain devices. A modern smartphone has not been positioned as a toy for a long time, since its functionality has turned the device into a full-fledged working complex. The developers realized in time what they could earn money on, and therefore they began to create various accessories (bracelets, watches) and gadgets that expand the functionality of already smart mobile phones. The following is a detailed instruction for Xiaomi Mi Band 2 with all the nuances of using the bracelet and the Mi Fit application, through which the device connects and synchronizes with a smartphone.

In fact, further instructions for Xiaomi Mi Band are presented in Russian, but it’s natural to start with the very unpacking of the product. If the original bracelet was purchased and the appearance of the package, then you need to start by charging the device in order to finally confirm its authenticity and prepare it for the first use.

The package must contain the following items:

  • the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 bracelet itself, divided into a strap and a tracker inserted into it;
  • charging USB cable.

Rules for using the charger and tracker

For Mi Band, setting up is an important step, but you still need to learn how to properly charge the bracelet. Having unpacked the brand new Band, you need to pull the tracker out of the strap, and then insert it into the charger with the contacts inside (as deep as possible, but without effort). The charger must then be plugged into a free USB port on your computer (recommended) or a USB adapter to a standard outlet. The charging time of the bracelet does not exceed two hours.

The tracker's charge level is indicated by three LEDs that flash during charging and glow uniformly when the device is fully charged. The standard time for the first charge cycle is about 2 hours. All subsequent charges will take much less time. The tracker must be fully charged, and non-standard charging methods should also be avoided, since improper current supply will cause the device to burn out.

Installing Mi Fit and registering an account

The next step after unpacking the bracelet is to connect it to a smartphone, but it cannot be done without and.

More detailed instructions can be obtained in an already written article on this issue, but in an abbreviated form, the algorithm for the owner of the Mi Band bracelet is quite simple:

  1. The Mi Fit application is installed from the Play Market or the App Store.
  2. Registration of a Mi account is carried out through the browser using the link or through the application itself.

After registration, the Mi Band 2 can be configured, but for this you will have to make the initial settings in the Mi Fit application, thanks to which the bracelet is tied to the smartphone and data is constantly synchronized.

Mi Fit initial settings

Now you need to configure the application itself to work correctly with it:

  1. Naturally, authorization is first performed with an already existing or only registered login and password.

  1. Then it is necessary for the user to enter his personal data into the application: name (nickname), gender, date of birth, height, weight, the minimum number of steps that is planned to be overcome daily.

  1. Immediately after entering the specified data, the bracelet binding menu will open, where you will need to select the device to be connected.

  1. After successful synchronization, Mi Fit will offer to update the bracelet firmware to the latest version. During this process, you do not need to turn off the phone or remove the Mi Band from it. Immediately after the firmware, the application interface will open, which you can start using.

Using Mi Fit and Mi Band

After successfully connecting the Mi Band, you can begin to study the application interface, which has become available to us. The home screen has three tabs: Activity, Notifications, and Profile.

Activity Tab

From the screen of this tab, you can go to several functional sections: "Statistics", "Sleep", "Weight", "Achievement bar", etc.

In the English version, this tab is called "Status". From this section, you can go to the static of various actions by clicking on the circle with steps or other sections in the event strip.

"Statistics"

You can get to this section by clicking on the circle with the number of steps, which is located on the "Activity" tab.

Features of working with this section:

  • Swipe to the left will open the statistics section for the past days;
  • Clicking on the "Statistics" button will open a general summary that can be sorted by day, week and month.

"Dream"

By going to the "Sleep" section, the user can get the following information:

  • Statistics of the sleep session for the previous night, indicating the duration of all phases and moments of awakening;
  • Swipe to the right will allow you to view statistics for earlier sleep sessions;
  • If you click the "Statistics" button in the "Sleep" section, you can group the data by day, week, month, etc.

"The weight"

Getting into this section, the user observes the following functional elements:

  • Graph of changes in weight indicators;
  • Above the graph is a list of users, which can be adjusted directly from this section (just click on the desired name to go);
  • A specific weight indicator is remembered by pressing the special button "Record weight";
  • You can always control the indicators of the body mass index, its weight, dynamics, and also evaluate the physique.

"Achievement Strip"

This section is a good incentive for Mi Band 2 owners, as it displays all the goals that have been achieved when using the bracelet.

The main indicators are the following:

"Run"

When launching the "Running" section, the user must activate GPS navigation in advance so that the device finds active satellites. As soon as the optimal number of satellites is displayed in Mi Fit (it lights up green), you can press start and go for a distance. During the run, basic information about the state of the runner will be displayed, and if you switch to the Map view, you can follow the trajectory of the movement. You can stop reading information, for example, when switching to a step, by holding the Pause button.

Notifications tab and how it works

On this tab, you can configure the notification triggering for the main events, as well as configure the function of duplicating them on the bracelet.

The list of controlled notifications includes:

  • Challenges. The bracelet will respond to each call after a certain period of time. The included blocking function will also prevent calls from unknown numbers.
  • Alarm. After setting, the bracelet will wake up the owner even when the phone is discharged, or duplicate the signal of the phone itself, which may not be enough to wake the owner from sleep.
  • Messages. Works similarly to a call.
  • Applications. The setting is carried out for each application installed on the phone, and notifications work on the principle of messages.

Screen Unlock Feature

By entering this settings menu, the user can:

  • Set up the screen unlocking process in such a way that you only have to swipe the bracelet on the phone and not make unnecessary movements on the screen or fingerprint sensor;
  • Adjust the visibility settings of Mi Band for other devices.

Profile Tab

The last tab, in fact, does not require explanation, because it is clear that the profile contains all the information about the user of the bracelet and the configuration of this device.

Nevertheless, it is worth saying that in this menu you can:

  • View personal information entered at the stage of setting up and connecting the bracelet to a smartphone;
  • Examine the list of devices connected to the smartphone and their configuration. In the case of the Mi Band, we are talking about the ability to search for a bracelet using the phone (makes it make sounds and blink), change the colors of the LEDs, determine the location of the device, activate / block notifications;
  • You can also view data about the firmware of the bracelet and untie it from a specific phone;
  • Even lower are the settings for the goals of the bracelet owner, notifications about the collected statistics, other settings and services.

Other features of the bracelet

The list of useful Mi Band features does not end there.

It is worth highlighting the following possibilities:

  • Visual control of achieved goals for the first version of the bracelet. Everything is quite simple: the three indicators that were described above, in the working state of the bracelet (not charging) are used to measure the level of achievement of goals. To activate this function, you need to make a certain gesture, raise your hand and turn the bracelet towards you, as if looking at a watch.

  • Bracelet search. This function has already been discussed above, but it is still worth giving specific instructions on how to use it. After following the path "Profile - Devices - Mi Band", click the appropriate search button.
  • Friends service. Your friends and family members who own similar bracelets can become members of the same Mi Band network. Everyone will be able to follow each other's achievements, as well as send welcome notifications to someone else's bracelet.

Operational features of the bracelet

What you should know about the features that are not included in the description, but play an important role:

  1. The device is "water resistant", but that doesn't mean you can swim in it. The bracelet can be worn in the shower, in the rain or when washing dishes. A short-term immersion to a depth of up to 1 meter is likely to withstand the device, but it's better not to risk it. Be especially wary of salt water in resorts.
  2. Automatic restoration of contact with the smartphone. Rare cases of out of sync may be caused by interference from other Bluetooth wireless technology devices. When disconnected, the tracker continues to attempt to restore communication until the next synchronization.
  3. Long battery life without recharging. The average Mi Band 2 user can go without recharging the bracelet for about a month. This time decreases if the device is constantly synchronizing with a smartphone.
  4. Convenient fastening of the case in the strap. There is only a slight risk that the tracker will be squeezed out of the compartment that secures it on an elastic and elastic strap. However, this situation is possible only with excessive mechanical pressure on the device.
  5. The real usefulness of the bracelet for the body. Naturally, the device will not remind the owner how much to walk / run, sleep, eat, etc. This is only an auxiliary tool that simplifies the process of achieving optimal conditions of the body and spirit.
  6. It is worth mentioning the conversion curve, as a result of which you can see the “temperature” parameter, in fact, this is how the burned calories were translated.

Alternative bracelet models

As an alternative version for the reviewed Mi Band 2, we also wrote a user manual for Mi Band 1s indicating the main differences between this device.

What you need to know about this bracelet:

  1. It still connects to the phone via Bluetooth wireless technology.
  2. At the first use, it asks to charge it, and then it requires this procedure after about a month of operation.
  3. For proper operation, you will need to enter your data into Mi Fit, and then, using the detailed guide presented above, connect and configure.

There are not so many differences with the newer (second) version. When considering the Mi Band 1s Pulse, the instructions for it make it clear that this model with the Pulse prefix is aimed specifically at measuring the owner's heart rate.

Naturally, Mi Band 2 can also do this, but in this modification, the pulse analysis is performed from different angles:

  • measurements are made by means of a photoplethysmogram;
  • data is displayed in 15 seconds;
  • the bracelet works in active (with manual activation) and passive (everyday) mode (2 times per minute).

The disadvantage is that the Xiaomi Mi Band 1s Pulse fitness bracelet will not measure the pulse when the charge drops below 10%.

Outcome

From the foregoing, it is only important to understand that in order to achieve optimal physical conditions and a high level of health, it is not enough to buy a bracelet, enter your parameters and set it up correctly. Regular sports, walks and a consistently active lifestyle are what remains with the owner of the bracelet.

The Mi Drop function appeared on smartphones from Xiaomi at the moment when the MIUI 7 firmware was released, which differs from the previous ones in its reliability and a wider range of features. A new refinement from the creators is responsible for wireless data transfer between devices on which either MIUI 7 or another higher version of the product is installed as a shell.

Mi Drop is an analogue of add-ons such as Superbeam or ShareIt. Its advantage lies in the fact that the function is initially built into the device and only the fastest Wi-Fi connection is used to transfer data.

This development allows you to exchange the following data:

  1. Photo, audio and video files;
  2. Text documents, saved notes;
  3. Applications and apk* files that are responsible for them;
  4. Saved contact profiles.

The exchange of information is very fast and does not require any unnecessary manipulation of the gadget. However, it still has one drawback - it can only be carried out between two gadgets from Xiaomi.

More details on how to use the function are described below.

Instructions for use

In order to start exchanging data right now, you don’t need to download or install anything, you only need the presence of the gadget itself and the knowledge of how to use the Mi Drop function.

In addition to Mi Drop, the latest versions of Xiaomi have other equally useful features.

How to work with large amounts of data?

Transferring single files is easy with Mi Drop. But what if necessary, that is, backup copies of all files and transfer the resulting archive to another device? This method is useful if you purchase a new gadget and want to transfer all the important information that was stored on the previous one to it.

This will be handled by Mi Mover, whose technology is in many ways reminiscent of Mi Drop. The only significant difference is the need to read the QR code. Let's take a look at how to use the application step by step to avoid random errors and any questions:

  1. Activate Wi-Fi on both smartphones.
  2. In "Settings" we find the section "System and device", after "Additionally", where we select the item "Mi Mover".
  3. The application will ask about what the gadget will be - the recipient of information or its sender. Depending on the needs, we select the appropriate option on each of the devices.
  4. On the screen of the gadget, which is the "Recipient", a special QR code will be displayed, which will serve as a kind of pairing. You can read it thanks to the Sender's gadget camera, however, you must first install an application for analyzing such codes.
  5. After establishing the relationship, it remains only to choose what you want to transfer and wait a bit until the files are sent.

Such a function is also convenient in that it can be made regular. The backup will be automatically created, you just need to specify it in the application settings.
