1. Download and install Revo Uninstaller

Installation is simple. During the process, only the program is installed without any additional - unnecessary programs that need to be cleaned from startup.

2. Removing a program that cannot be removed

First, let's try to remove our hanger using standard Windows tools. Let's go toStart > Control Panel > Uninstall a program. Select the program and press the buttonDelete. You can see what came out of this in the picture below.


Launch the installed Revo Uninstaller


Select our program and click on the Delete button. An uninstaller warning appears in which we confirm our intentions


In the next window we need to select the uninstallation - removal mode. Choose Advanced, which performs a deep and thorough check of the remaining application information. Click Next


A restore point is created if such a feature is enabled on the system. (You can read how to enable and use this feature in the article How to perform a system restore)


When running the built-in uninstaller, an old error occurs. ClickOK


After scanning the remaining information, click Next


After finding the remaining items in the register, we are asked to highlight the items indicated in bold. You can click on + to expand the view of the found elements (as shown in the figure). Select and click Delete


A warning appears asking you to click Yes


After deleting, we see a blank screen (picture below) - which means the registry is clean. Click Next


Revo Uninstaller searches for remaining files and folders on the disk. Select the results and click Delete


A warning appears about deleting selected objects to the trash. Confirm by clicking the button Yes. In the program settings you can configure the deletion of files: either to the trash bin or completely


The program displays a blank window indicating that all files and folders have been successfully deleted. Click Next


In the next window, complete the uninstallation procedure by clicking the button Ready


Our program was successfully removed from the system with all entries in the registry and files on the hard drive.

3. Hunter Mode

Revo Uninstaller can switch to Hunter mode. This mode will help us if the program is not displayed in the list of installed programs. To switch to “Hunter” mode in the main window of the Revo Uninstaller program, click the corresponding button Hunter mode


At the same time, a sight appears on the screen, and the main program window is minimized to the notification area.

Release the left mouse button and the Revo Uninstaller context menu appears with possible actions for the selected item. Select the required one - delete (uninstall), or click the mouse in another place to close the menu


This gives us another intuitive opportunity to correctly and completely remove the element we need.

To return to the main window, you can double-click with the left mouse button on the Revo Uninstaller icon in the notification area or right-click on the icon and select from the menu that opens


In this article, I will talk about using Revo Uninstaller, a program that is used to completely uninstall other applications. This is one of the most popular tools for this task. And, of course, the program has other useful functions and capabilities, which I will also talk about.

The installation is traditional, nothing special will happen. If you have Windows in Russian, then after startup the interface will immediately appear in Russian. If not, then the language can be selected in the program settings.

Revo Uninstaller is primarily used to remove programs. This is the main purpose of this tool. Revo Uninstaller allows you to permanently remove applications, along with all temporary files and traces in the registry, so that no hints remain.

So, to uninstall any program, open Revo Uninstaller. You will see an interface with a list of installed programs. Select the one you want to delete by clicking on it with the mouse, and then click the “Delete” button in the top menu.

The removal process will begin. The uninstaller built into the program to be removed will launch, in which you first need to simply uninstall using the traditional method.

Using Revo Uninstaller for other purposes

Let me look at the purpose of each of these tools in order.

Autorun manager. Makes it possible to manage startup applications: enable and disable them, as well as obtain additional information about the location and values ​​of registry keys.

Junk file cleaner. Scanner for files that the system does not need - temporary, cache, etc. To start scanning, you need to click the “Scan” button in the top panel.

Windows Tools. Using Revo Uninstaller can be useful for fine-tuning your system. The tools necessary for this are collected here.

Browser cleaner. Removes downloads, history, cookies, cache and other data from all installed browsers.

MS Office Cleaner. Deletes the history of opening documents in Office applications - Word, Excel.

One last thing to mention is using Revo Unistaller in Hunter mode. This mode allows you to determine what program is running by hovering the mouse over a particular area and perform various operations with it.

To enable hunter mode, you need to click on the corresponding button in the top panel.

2. We install it on your computer.

Revo Uninstaller will only work with an administrator account or on behalf of an administrator.

3. Launch the program. A menu opens before us with its capabilities. Let's look at the most important ones.

How to remove a program using Revo Uninstaller

Uninstalling programs using Revo Uninstaller is somewhat different from the same process using standard program removal in Windows, so it should be considered in detail.

1. Go to the “Uninstaller” tab and select the one you want to remove from the list of programs.

2. Click the “Delete” button. After this, the process of uninstalling the program will begin. It may look different for each application. Check the required boxes and follow the prompts. Upon completion of the uninstallation, the uninstaller will issue a report indicating the successful completion of the process.

3. Now comes the fun part. Revo Uninstaller offers to scan your computer for files left over from the uninstalled program. Scanning can be carried out in three modes - “Safe”, “Moderate” and “Advanced”. For simple programs, a moderate mode will be sufficient. Click the “Scan” button.

4. Scanning takes some time, after which a window appears displaying the directory with the files remaining after deletion. Click “Select all” and “Delete”. This completes the process of uninstalling the program!

5. After deletion, a window may appear with other files that the program offers to delete. You need to carefully review the list and select for deletion only files related to the program you are deleting. If you're not sure, just skip this step without deleting anything. Click “Finish”.

How to Clean Browsers Using Revo Uninstaller

Some time after it starts, a window will be displayed in which all residual information about a specific program on the system will be displayed. These junk files are deleted in three steps: first, select absolutely all files, then click on the “delete” button, then click on the “next” button.

Attention! After deleting additional program files, another window may appear with a list of files. Documents with which the program to be removed interacted in some way are displayed here, or they contain information about it.

Startup manager

Using Revo Uninstaller, you can configure the autorun of those programs that are necessary for work immediately after turning on the computer. To do this, you need to find the startup manager among the tools.

You should understand that many developers like to install their software into autorun so that they can always use it. 1. You can download the program from the official website of the developer, or you can download a portable version of the program using my link (in this case there will be no need to install it, you will just need to download it and run it to work).

2. Launch the program -> go to “Options” in the top toolbar of the program (if it is not available, select “Windows Tools” in the left panel and try again -> in the window that opens, select the language “Russian / Russian”.

3. In the same window, go to the “Uninstaller” tab and tick the indicated items.

The first of them means that if after uninstalling the program the system becomes unstable, then it will be possible to “roll back the system” to the previous state to resume the operation of the OS.

The second highlighted item means that files found by Revo Uninstaller will not be permanently deleted, but will be placed in the Recycle Bin, from where they can be restored.

  • Moderate – the default item; includes the previous paragraphs plus an advanced search for information related to the program being removed.
  • Advanced is the slowest mode that checks the hard drive and system registry for any information about the program being removed.

3. Select the mode that suits you and click the “Next” button. The process at each stage will display relevant information to you and ask you for confirmation to continue the process of removing traces of the program from your PC.

4. At the end of all stages, the program will inform you that the operation of removing the program from your computer was successful.
