Huawei megafon m150 2 firmware. How to Unlock a Huawei Modem for Free From Cellular Operators MTS, Megafon, Beeline, Tele2

After a while, happy owners of cheap promotional modems ask themselves: how to unlock a 3G or 4G modem so that the USB modem can work with a SIM card from another operator? MTS, Beeline, Megafon, Tele 2 or any other mobile operator.

You can unlock the modem yourself and for free, you just need to strictly follow the instructions for unlocking the modem.

Attention! This instruction was tested on the modem model from Megafon M150-2, also known as 829F for MTS and E3370 for Beeline. What is it called at TELE2? - Don't know. The original native name of the modem is Huawei E3372h (Huawei E3372h-153).

If you purchased another modem, then these instructions may not be suitable, and in general, in this case, you may irreversibly damage your modem :-).

The instructions were based on materials from this forum for professional IT workers, when I myself needed to unlock the Megafon modem to work with other operators. But everything on the forum is very complicated, it’s almost impossible for a “teapot” to understand anything, so I decided to break everything down without unnecessary fancy terms.

So, operators produce and sell USB modems from the company in their stores Huawei under their own brands and with their own logo. At the same time, they activate blocking of work with SIM cards of other operators in the modem.

You can remove the blocking in the normal way. In a regular way, it means that you have a special unlock code (the code is unique for each modem). As soon as you insert a SIM card from someone else's operator into the 4G modem, the program for connecting to the Internet (connection manager) going to the modem requests this code.

If you enter this code, the modem will unlock and become universal, i.e. can work in the network of any operator. But firstly, the problem is that no one will tell you this “technological” code. And secondly, you are given only ten attempts to enter the code, i.e. It won't be possible to pick it up either.

There are special programs for generating an unlock code, so-called modem code calculators. But first, you need to find a working code calculator, and then... become a computer pro in order to understand how to use it.

For some models you can buy the code from hackers. You send them, pay for the service, and they calculate the code for you. But it won’t work with all modems, and it’s not a fact that in exchange for your money you will receive a working code. Remember the 10 attempt limit.

An alternative unlocking method is to send a special AT command to the modem, which will unlock the modem. This is the method I propose to use. By the way, this method will work even if you have already exhausted 10 attempts to enter the unlock code.

  1. First, download the program "DC-unlocker client" from here https://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads
  2. If the modem's connection manager is running (a program from Megafon, Beeline, etc., which came with the modem), then you need to close it. If the connection manager is not closed, then the "DC-unlocker client" may not detect the modem.
  3. Run "DC-unlocker client" and select Russian in the "Options" menu.
  4. In the "DC-unlocker client" window, click on the Magnifier icon (find and identify the modem).
  5. After the "DC-Unlocker" program finds and identifies the modem, information about the modem will be displayed.

Note: After this, you can enter (paste from the clipboard) AT commands.
AT commands must be entered (pasted from the clipboard) after the text about the modem information.
After the AT command has been entered (pasted from the clipboard), press the Enter key.

Let's continue...

6. Now you need to make sure that you have a modem Huawei E3372h.

To do this, give (copy from here to the clipboard, paste into the “DC-unlocker client” and press enter) the command:

If the result of this command is ^FHVER: E3372H-153....... then you have the same model as me. If the model is different, then it is not a fact that the method will work.

7. Now we give the command:

at^nvwrex=8268,0,12,1,0,0,0,2,0,0,0,a,0,0,0

That's it, the modem must be unlocked. Now you can insert SIM cards from other operators.

If suddenly the response to the command at^nvwrex=8268,0,12,1,0,0,0,2,0,0,0,a,0,0,0 was "Error", then you got an updated modem with protection against unlocking in this way. Most likely this is a modem from MTS; perhaps soon other operators will also close this option. In the meantime, there is such a hole - use it.

If you receive an "Error", then the modem is NOT damaged, and will continue to operate in its previous mode, only it will remain locked.

The MTS operator has updated its line of 4G modems to replace MTS 824F, MTS 824FT (Huawei E3272) a new LTE modem has arrived from the manufacturer Huawei - MTS 827F (Huawei E3372). It has all the same characteristics as the Huawei E3272. The main features of 4G modems from Huawei are quality, stability, and no overheating.
Let me make a reservation: we’ve had the modem for several hours and there are no noticeable differences from the Huawei E3272 that catch the eye. The design of the case has been slightly changed, but it is still the same matte plastic. At the moment, MTS 827F is sold only in black. According to unconfirmed information, in the near future the Megafon operator will also have the same model.
One strange thing was noticed: on the box of the purchased MTS 827F modem, except for the words MTS CONNECT and LTE 4G, there is no information about what model is inside. Until you open the box you will not know which modem you bought.

Modem MTS 827F from the regular series, non-HILINK firmware version: E3372S-153 21.285.01.02.143. When you connect to your computer for the first time, you will need to install the software from the modem version UTPS23.015.05.04.143_MAC23.015.05.04.143 it supports Windows 8 as well.

Like all modems from the MTS operator - MTS 827F blocked from using SIM cards from other operators. But the manufacturer Huawei leaves the possibility unlock modem, by default there are 10 attempts to enter unlock code. More details about unlocking will be described below.

Not long ago, the Huawei E3372 Hilink appeared with the Beeline operator, firmware version 22.286.53.01.161 WebUI version 16.100.05.02.161 . How to unlock it is described in the article: Huawei E3372 unlocking from Beeline operator

Unlocking Huawei E3372 (MTS 827F):
This model, like other models produced in 2013-2014, has an algorithm for calculating code 201. You can find out more about the list of such modems from the article:.
Let's look at one of the ways to unlock the Huawei E3372 modem, using the MTS 827F as an example.
It's very simple:
1. You purchase code for 200 rubles: Unlocking Huawei modems and routers (2014) Code.
2. Insert the SIM card of a “foreign” operator into the modem.
3. The modem software will automatically start and the following request will appear:

4. In the window you see the number of attempts and the field for entering the unlock code.
5. Enter the previously received code and click "OK"
6. On this unlocking MTS 827F completed.

How to distinguish the Huawei E3372H modem from the Huawei E3372S using the MTS 827F as an example?

1. IMEI of the modem starts with 8661***********.
2. Serial number starts with G4P***
3. Firmware version 21.180.01.00.143
4. If the above points correspond to your modem, this means that you need an unlock code according to Algorithm V4.

Friends, I am glad to welcome you again! The other day I was faced with the question of how to unlock a 4g megaphone modem in order to receive the Internet through any SIM cards. I had to sit for half a day, but still managed to unlock the modem. Now I'll tell you how I did it.

In general, the Megafon operator distributes good Internet, but now the Tele2 operator has made convenient tariffs and I use their Internet. What should I do now, buy a Tele2 device or find a way to unlock the Megaphone 4g modem? Of course the second option.

If you insert a SIM card from another operator into the megaphone USB device, you will be given the opportunity to enter an unlock code and unlock this modem so that it works with any SIM cards. You have ten attempts to enter the code. But where can I get this code?

There is no need to try to guess it, because after the tenth attempt the modem will be blocked. I found several options on the Internet to get an unlock code, all of them are too complicated, using some programs, both paid and free.

It turns out that all the USB devices that we have are made in China by Huawei, so to unlock them you need to use utilities for gadgets from this particular company.

And so, let's start unlocking the 4G megaphone modem. First you need to download this program to your computer Huawei Unlock Code Calculator.

Now you launch it and here you need to enter the IMEI of your modem. You will find it on the inside of the lid. Remove the cover from the USB device and you will immediately see the IMEI.

Write this number and click on the “Calk” button. The program will display code numbers V1, V2 and V201. Now insert the SIM card into the USB modem and connect it to the computer. If you have not yet installed the megaphone Internet management program, it will be installed automatically.

In the upper right corner I now have a field to enter the unlock code. First I entered the V1 code, but it turned out to be incorrect. Then I entered the V2 code and it was also incorrect. But when I entered the code V201, Tele2 Internet appeared via a USB device from the Megafon operator.

That's all, I told you how to unlock a 4g megaphone modem and there was nothing complicated in my method. The program that needs to be downloaded is lightweight and easy to download and run; when you enter the IMEI, it instantly produces unlock codes.

And the USB modem itself instantly flashes for all operators when the code is entered correctly. Therefore, I recommend using this simple and free method.

Guys, follow my blog, there is only the most useful information and if you liked this article, go through the social network icons that are now in front of you.

If you insert the stock Megaphone M150-2 into the router, nothing will happen ( UPD with firmware 6.30.2 the STICK firmware is already detected, see comments). The fact is that HUAWEI E3372s works in two versions of firmware STICK and HILINK. The firmware is completely interchangeable. To work with Mikrotik, you need to reflash the modem to HILINK. In this mode, the modem will be detected as an LTE interface and have its own router.

ATTENTION! If you doubt your actions, it is better to refuse the procedure or entrust the procedure to familiar specialists. Follow the sequence strictly and do not skip steps. This procedure has been done repeatedly and is 100% working on Megafon stock firmware.

To switch to HILINK firmware you must first(!) download the software:

  • – this is an update of the dashboard (modem firmware) to version 3.5;
  • Generate FLASH CODE for the IMEI of your modem;
  • – HILINK firmware (not branded);
  • – Web interface HILINK firmware (not bended);

So let's get started:

1. Using the terminal, connect to the COM port of the modem and execute the unlock command:

at^nvwrex=8268,0,12,1,0,0,0,2,0,0,0,a,0,0,0

at^nvwrex = 8268, 0, 12, 1, 0, 0, 0, 2, 0, 0, 0, a, 0, 0, 0

2. Now remove the SIM card and SD.

3. Write down the IMEI of the modem. This may (most likely) be needed for firmware. It can be taken from the device information in the operator software (usually the “Diagnostics” section).

4. We remove the operator software (only the Megafon shell). This is necessary so that all sorts of autostarts do not occupy the modem ports when flashing the firmware. We leave the drivers so that the modem is normally detected in the device manager.

5. Install dashboard 3.5. This is the firmware of the modem. It is not software for managing a modem.

6. Install MobileBrServ. It does this silently, but if you restart the service, it asks “reinstall?”

7. We install unbranded firmware (E3372s-153TCPU...). Here the Flash Code can be requested, which is calculated based on the IMEI (was calculated during the preparation phase).

If everything went well, then flash the web interface (E3372sWEBUI...).

If everything was done in order and carefully, then the modem will be detected as a network card with the network 192.168.8.0/24, where the modem itself will be 192.168.8.1.

By connecting to the modem http://192.168.8.1/ you can configure automatic connection to the network and use “4G only”.

You can plug the modem into Mikrotik. There it will show up as an LTE interface:

After the client is created (Apply/OK), it should receive an IP:

Next, we set up masquerading on this interface:

Well, that's all.

The modem will also be available via IP 192.168.8.1. There you can also monitor SMS.

None of the operators provide white/public IP, so setting up DDNS makes no sense. To have access to Mikrotik you will have to connect it via PPTP (for example) to an external network through which to organize routing.
