Hello. Today I will talk about a file manager for the Windows Phone operating system - Pocket File Manager. The application is paid, costs 69 rubles.
At the root of the application there are folders for quick access. Without fail, Local Storage is a link to the internal memory of the phone, and randomly added folders - memory card, cloud storage, etc.
When you first start, if you have a memory card installed in your phone, you need to press the plus sign and add the card to the root so that it is available.
In my case, there is nothing interesting in the phone’s memory, since I only place programs here, and all the content is on the memory card. However, there are several test files. It must be said that the powers of the file manager in the phone memory are somewhat limited, in contrast to the memory card, to which you have full access.
You can store any folders and files on a memory card and perform any necessary actions with them.
Settings menu. The names of the points speak for themselves; I will explain only if, in my opinion, it is necessary.
In addition to being displayed in a grid, files and folders can be displayed in a list.
The file manager can play video files, audio files, and pictures supported by the system. The video audio level can be adjusted separately.
There are no problems with the cache, since it is cleared automatically, but you can also clear it manually.
If necessary, you can protect access to the program with a password.
The built-in download manager is equipped with a scheduler. Able to download files that have a direct link.
SMTP settings. The manager can send files through the standard Windows Phone email program, but can also do this by bypassing the system, thereby performing the function of a simple email client. To do this, you need to configure an outgoing mail server by selecting from the list or adding any other yourself.
FTP server. Needed to turn your phone into a small FTP server (thanks, Cap!).
The usage scenario is this: being on the same network as your phone, you can, for example, connect to it from a computer via Total Commander or Filezilla to gain access to the folders and files allowed by the settings.
By holding your finger on a file or folder, you get access to a context menu that displays possible actions on objects.

Bluetooth, or OneDrive cloud storage, attach to OneNote. But keep in mind that you can only send file types that are supported by the receiving device. For example, an attempt to send a regular exe file to an Android smartphone was unsuccessful. At the same time, video, music, etc. (everything that can be opened on the receiving device) is sent without problems.
Standard functions for selecting, creating a new folder, etc. There's no point in describing it, so I'll just illustrate.
I would also like to note the ability to pack files and folders into zip archives and the ability to edit music file tags. The built-in archiver supports unpacking all popular formats, but only packs it in zip.
In early May, Joe Belfiore, vice president of operating systems, announced that Microsoft was preparing an official file manager for Windows Phone. At the same time, a promise was made that the application, simply called “Files,” would be released at the end of May. Belfiore remained true to his word, and the application is now available for download from the official Microsoft store.
Files allows users to interact with files located on the phone's internal or external storage. Files can be viewed, moved, renamed, copied and deleted. You can also create new folders. The manager also allows you to quickly share files with other people, a feature that is standard for this type of application.
Interestingly, the app only works on Windows Phone 8.1, a version that is still only available as a developer preview update. So, to install the application, you must either wait for the official update to launch for your device, or purchase a new one

We've already looked at Microsoft's official video editing app, but today we finally have information about Files, the official file manager for Windows Phone.
The Files application is a free manager for all files on your smartphone. We learned about it from Joe Belfiore, who took part in a press conference from Reddit. A similar app was supposed to be released in May, but we were later told that it would be called Files and would appear in June. Although we got the name right, we were wrong about the release - you can download it today.
Here are the tasks the Files application version 1.0 solves:

With the Files app, you always have access to your documents, downloads, music, photos, and more. It doesn’t matter where they are stored: on an SD card or in the internal memory of the device, the application will still be able to process them. We were able to spend a few minutes exploring Files and really enjoyed it. Even though it is quite simple, the application performs its functions well.
File Manager is one of the few file managers for Windows Phone. It is quite functional with a beautiful design. Let's try to look at it in more detail, because every file manager for Windows Phone is worth its weight in gold.

Although the application is paid, this did not stop its rapid development, and in a fairly short time it took a solid second place. Is this really what all smartphone users need?
Design, appearance and control
The design of File Manager does not differ from the usual Windows Phone standards, everything is extremely clear and is made in view of small icons. After installation, few people will have questions about what I should do next. Procedures such as copying and transferring files are done very quickly. 
Cloud
File Manager supports the following cloud services: SkyDrive, Dropbox, Box, Google Drive and SugarSync. Unfortunately, there is no support for Russian Yandex.
Additional features
The application has its own FTP client, which does not support secure data transfer channels (FTPS and SFTP), and has its own player.
It has its own archiver and can carry out operations inside archives on the fly, and what’s interesting is that it is possible to share files via Bluetooth

We believe that File Manager is a standard manager that does not have any pronounced advantages, its work is stable and reliable and it performs its main functions.
