Lost instructions?

Instructions and manuals for household appliances and electronics, computers, smartphones, cars, musical and other equipment... Hundreds of thousands of instructions for all kinds of technical devices for various purposes to your attention!

You can find and download for free and without registration the necessary instruction manual in Russian or read it online, create your own list of instructions on this site for remote access (subject to registration).

For the convenience of users, the archive is divided into categories according to the types of technical devices.

An easy way to find the required manual is simply to enter the model name in the search field. If there is no result, try to break the abbreviation into parts, that is, put spaces between letters and numbers and press the search button again. Often the same model is marked differently by the manufacturer itself, for example, spaces and dashes may be present in the printed user manual, but not on the device itself.

Do not forget the main rule, which is usually written at the very beginning of the document: "read the instructions before using the device ...", and this is true - this condition will help not only keep the equipment in good condition for many years of operation, but also thoroughly understand all features and functions for its full use.

Navigator Shturman Link 500 combines all the necessary and most requested functions of a car device. Against the background of many devices for navigation, it looks more than worthy, because at the same time it is quite inexpensive. Services installed by default, such as Yandex. Traffic jams allow the driver to enjoy the driving process and receive timely information about the condition of the roadway.

Main characteristic

Shturmann Link 500 is equipped with a 5 inch screen with a fairly wide resolution of 800*480. There is an integrated GPRS module that provides Internet connection.

The main advantages of this device include the following:

  • high color rendering;
  • widescreen extension;
  • integrated module providing connection;
  • constant updating of data on the state of the road with the help of downloaded to the device
  • programs;
  • specially designed and unique program for navigation Navigator;
  • SIM card of the mobile operator MTS with the tariff "team Shturman".

The main advantage of the device is still the ability to use the "Navigator team" function. The convenience lies in the fact that by teaming up with friends and relatives, the car owner will always see their location on the city map.

Important! Thanks to the integrated module, the navigator can connect to the World Wide Web without communicating with other mobile gadgets, that is, it works completely autonomously.

Navigator Shturman 500 has modest, by today's standards, characteristics, but this does not prevent it from satisfying the needs of average users. The main characteristics are given in the table.

Users of Shturman navigators have the opportunity to receive information about traffic jams on city roads in real time. In addition, after installing the programs, the user gets the opportunity to see information about the poor condition of the roadway:

  • closing a certain lane;
  • repair work.

This moment greatly simplifies the life of a motorist, because in conditions of congestion in large cities, such information is very valuable.

Important! Functions work not only in large cities, but also in small provinces throughout Russia.

By purchasing the device, the user gains the opportunity to use its additional functions:

  • photo viewing;
  • watching videos;
  • FM radio;
  • MP3 player.

The undoubted advantage of the device is its dimensions - 136 * 85 * 14 mm. The small size allows you to place the device on the front glass of the car, without cluttering up visibility.

Instrument package

The price of the device is less than 5,000 rubles, but for this price the user purchases a fully equipped device. When you open the box, you can be truly surprised, because many manufacturers save on this, but Shturman is rather an exception to the rule.

The user acquires the following constituent elements:

  • the device itself - navigator navigator Link 500 500;
  • car mount;
  • charger for use in the car;
  • case;
  • cable for connecting the device to a computer;
  • instruction manual for the device;
  • warranty card from the store and the manufacturer;
  • MTS SIM card to activate the My Navigator Team service.

The device itself is made of durable plastic. There are no special decorative elements. There is a film on the screen of the device. All connectors for connection are located on the side right side.

Important! For the predecessors of the device, the sockets were located on the left side, but the manufacturer identified an error. When connected to the right, the wire hangs in an obsessive arc and prevents the driver from following the road.

On the bottom side of the device is a slot for a SIM card. Installing a mobile operator card completely solves the user's problem in connecting to the Internet, through which up-to-date information about the state of the communication path is displayed.

Important! The gift rate from MTS "Team Navigator" is no less valuable than the navigator itself. The user has a chance to pay only 99 kopecks for 1 MB of information received.

The design of the mount itself, which ensures the stability of the device in the car, looks quite powerful. It is made of durable plastic, sometimes there are metal elements. The mount is equipped with a special ball joint, thanks to which the device can be freely rotated in three available planes. Just one touch on the screen allows the user to set the optimal viewing angle.

Fact! The motorist will have to get used to getting into the latches to install the device on the fixing platform.

After turning on the device, the user gets acquainted with the menu. It looks quite simple, because the motorist on an intuitive level can guess what exactly is located behind the icon. The sensor is quite sensitive, drivers do not complain about this element.

Car navigator Shturmann Link 500 fm combines all the most popular features. Built-in GPRS module, 5-inch large screen, high HD resolution 800x480, Yandex traffic and pre-installed services. All this is combined in one Shturmann link 500 case, 19 mm thick.

Key features of the Shturmann Link 500 navigator:

Bright large 5-inch screen

High resolution 800x480

Built-in GPRS module

Shturmann's own navigation software

SIM card MTS with "Team Shturmann" tariff included

So, the main advantage of the Shturmann Link 500 fm car navigator is of course the built-in GSM / GPRS module and the included SIM card. Thanks to this, the navigator is able to connect to the Internet without the use of additional devices, which greatly simplifies the task.

The most valuable thing that a car navigator can get from the network is real-time information about traffic jams, the well-known Yandex Traffic jams. Using this information, the Shturmann Link 500 fm automatically plots a route using the least congested roads. The service works both in Moscow and other Russian cities. Also, the online service will allow you to see friends using Shturmann navigation on the map, and will offer the shortest route for a meeting.

In addition, the built-in GSM / GPRS module in the navigator will allow you to use the car navigator as a mobile phone. You can receive calls and dial numbers directly from the navigator screen. The microphone and speaker located in the body of the navigator will allow you to have a conversation without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

The communication capabilities of Shturmann Link 500 fm are complemented by a program for receiving and transmitting SMS messages, pre-installed web browser, ICQ client, mail client and MSN Messager.

In our review, we will pay special attention to the Shturmann Link 500 fm screen. This is a modern bright display with a diagonal of 5 inches and high resolution.

The screen resolution is 800x480 pixels, which is 3 times more than the previous model of the Shturmann Link series. This gives an improvement in image clarity by the same 3 times! You no longer have to peer into small lettering, fonts look smooth and crisp. The pixels that make up the digital image become invisible to the eye.

The multimedia capabilities of the Shturmann Link 500 fm are familiar audio and video players, a photo viewer and an FM transmitter. The FM transmitter allows you to transmit sound from the car navigator to the car's audio system without using wires, just tune the receiver to the desired wave and your favorite music from the navigator's memory card will sound in full force through the car's acoustics.

Pre-installed on the Shturmann Link 500 fm, Shturmann navigation software combines the latest maps from the world leader in cartography, NAVTEQ, with the simplest and most user-friendly interface. In addition, official maps of all of Europe will be available to Shturmann users in the near future!

Having taken as a guide to such masters of the industry as Garmin, TomTom or Mio, who offer original software with a closed OS on their devices, the creators of SHTURMANN did not forget that they are moving across the expanses of the Russian market - and left the system open!...

This time we will break the established review order and start not with a description of the case and fasteners, but immediately with the functionality. And there is a reason for this. Take a look at the following photos:

Here we see the boot screen of the original SHTURMANN navigation software, and then we see how programs from other manufacturers are launched on the same device!…

Many, probably, have already appreciated the essence of what is happening, but just in case, I will explain in more detail.

At the moment, the entire market of autonavigators can be quite clearly divided into two groups. One consists of devices with original navigation software and a closed operating system that does not allow installing and using third-party programs. Such masters of navigator building as Garmin, TomTom and Mio go this way. On the other hand, devices that do not have their own original programs and are initially aimed at using various third-party software, and, accordingly, allow the user to install different navigation programs at will. In this group, a whole scattering of so-called. ODM products, made in China, branded and promoted to the market - such as Texet, Lexand, GlobusGPS, PocketNavigator, etc.

And here, in the case of SHTURMANN, we see a certain "third" way. On the one hand, the "Navigator" came out of the same ODM source and retained all the features of its universal "brothers", but on the other hand, this device offers its own software of the same name, which unites it with the group of "originals".

And for the Russian market, this path is very correct, this path is ours. You can, of course, argue that "Navigator", initially offering only devices equipped with third-party software, now, having released its navigation program, simply "automatically" inherited its "universality". And everything that we see here: "original software + open OS" - all this turned out "by itself".

But then the question is - what prevented the developers from shutting down the system tightly (especially since technically this is a couple of trifles), without launching any third-party software, as is done, for example, in Mio navigators, which are based on the same WinCE, only locked from all others programs.

But the creators of "Shturman" were not greedy and left the system open. For our market, this is a huge plus: at will, any user can put their “great Aigo” here and ride, rejoicing. True, in any case, when driving around Russia, “Aigo” is not really needed here - the native STURMANN software “steers” very, very well. However, about him later.

And now take a look at the next photo - here's another "trick"!

Until today, on any car navigator under WinCE, I have not seen the ability to minimize the navigation application “to the floor” and use other device functions. Everywhere, in order to, for example, make a phone call or even just adjust the sound or brightness of the device, the navigation program has to be closed and then loaded again. Here we already see functionality from devices of another class (and prices!) - GPS communicators. At the same time, “minimized” navigation also goes on in the background - the device continues to “speak” turn tips, and when the map returns to the screen, it shows a new, current location.

We can talk endlessly about the practical convenience of such a functional. When the sun comes out, then hides behind a cloud, when you turn off the music to talk on the phone, and then turn it on again - here you constantly need to adjust the volume, then the brightness. On conventional autonavigators under WinCE, for this you have to either close and reload the “navigation” (which takes time), or (which usually happens), endure and wait for the external conditions and circumstances to return to those for which the settings were made.

But here you don’t need it: you turned off the software and “twist” the device as you like. Moreover, the main used settings "volume" and "brightness" are adjusted directly in the navigation program. However, as already said - about it later.

Since I started, so, perhaps, I will continue the topic of the menu and functionality.

All items of the main menu are located on one screen, which is both technically competent and convenient to use - you don’t have to “twist” and “flip” anywhere to select the desired section. Large white icons - "keys" on a black background are visible very well, however, in my opinion, it would be even better if they were made in multi-colored - then the perceptibility of the menu would be generally "six plus". Although, perhaps, the developers were afraid of excessive variegation and decided to make the design "calmer".

The second level of the menu is identical in structure and design to the first, which, in my opinion, is also very competent and convenient in use and perception.

The speed of moving through the menu is quite fast, frank "brakes" and "falling asleep" when moving from item to item and from level to level were not noticed. The only thing, only sometimes the device began to respond with a delay to clicking on the “arrow” (back), when you enter the lower level and immediately want to go back - then the response occurred in a couple of seconds. (Apparently, the screen worked, but the device itself has not yet loaded the level.). If you do not try to go back right there - the "arrow" responds without delay.

The screen quality is quite standard for devices of this class - the brightness was enough for me in all cases, the display, of course, faded somewhat in the bright sun, but the map still remained distinguishable. There were no problems with viewing angles either, especially since the navigator is always set to an face.

As for the set of additional functions and their implementation, they are also typical for navigators of this class. The only thing is that there are no games in the navigator, which I personally applaud standing. Bravo! And this is not irony at all.

In general, it has always been incomprehensible to me why such completely unplayable games are put on car navigators, especially some wild tetris or arkanoid, or, even worse, Chinese go checkers, the rules of which no one in our country knows. Among all my friends who use autonavigators, no one plays games on them. Of course, I am not Gallup or VTsIOM, but something tells me that there are only one or two such “players”. If branders receive these games from ODM-suppliers for free along with the platform, then it’s clear that they don’t look the gifted bonus in the mouth, but if they pay for them separately, forcing, in turn, the buyers of devices to pay, then I don’t understand this.

The only pity is that the developers did not add PDF viewers, Word / Excel and other MS Office here, since the device has a browser and an email client. But here you can probably trick yourself: write the necessary viewers under WinCE to the memory card, and then launch the “actions” through the “navigation path”. Of course, you will have to poke around every time, but as a possible alternative, it will probably do.

By the way, about the browser. This is already known around and everywhere Explorer under WinCE, similar in implementation to regular browsers in mobile phones. The navigator has its own GSM / GPRS module (respectively, a SIM card is also installed), but without support for the EDGE standard.

To download information about traffic jams, GPRS speed is more than enough - all data is updated quickly and without "slowdowns". But for Internet "surfing" this speed is clearly not enough, and the pages are loaded as if through an old "daylap" modem through a telephone line. So “walking the expanses of the network”, opening page after page, will be problematic here.

But on the other hand, if there are, say, a couple of favorite sites where you are used to periodically looking, the browser is able to do a good job, allowing you to pass the time pleasantly.

And a few more words about the GSM / GPRS module itself, or rather about the SIM card. Now the navigator is sold with an exclusive tariff from MTS "Team Shturman" with a very tasty price for traffic - 2.98 per 1 Mb throughout Russia (except for the Penza region and the Chechen Republic), and without a "subscriber". Unfortunately, I was not able to find out exactly whether there are restrictions on the data transfer rate. If it is not there, then it turns out just an excellent roaming "sim card" for the "USB-modem + laptop" bundle.

There are no questions or complaints about the operation and interface of the navigator in the “phone” mode. Everything is clear, simple, clear.

At the end of the conversation about the electronic stuffing, look at the funny "feature" of the device.

After installing third-party software from a memory card, a white bar appears on the screen below - at first I thought it was such a “glitch” of the screen. But somehow I accidentally double-clicked on it with the stylus and the standard WinCE panel came out from under the proprietary shell of the device. At the same time, there is no separate entry point to WinCE, bypassing the shell, in the device. After removing the card and rebooting the device, everything disappeared without a trace.

As I was explained in the technical support service, this “feature” is a feature of the firmware, which is eliminated in the new version (available for free to all users).

Although I did not change the firmware - this thing does not bother me. It also does not affect the operation of the device in any way - neither "brakes", nor "fades", neither in the menu, nor in navigation.

Well, now about the appearance.

The design of the case is simple and functional. I don’t know whether it was intentional or not, but here they did not focus on aesthetic “zest” and delights, believing (perhaps quite rightly) that the main thing for navigators is what is inside.

The assembly and quality of the case plastic is at a high level - I did not notice any creaking and crackling (which, by the way, happens all the time) even with fairly strong pressure on the corners. Glossy plastic gives the impression of being durable.

At the same time, due to the successful choice of dark gray color, fingerprints are practically not visible on the gloss. By the way, “smearing” is a common misfortune of black glossy devices, which, after two minutes of holding in hands, must be wiped with a rag. Here, the device retains a clean and tidy appearance for a long time.

On the left side of the case there is a miniUSB connector for connecting a car charger and connecting to a PC and a standard headphone jack. Here I note, by the way, that the connection to the PC goes without problems and installation of additional software, but for some reason my computer refused to see the card I installed in the device, but only its own memory.

On the right side we find slots for SIM-cards and microSD memory cards, covered with rubber plugs, and next to them, on the top side, there is an on/off button for the device. And again I note here - the plugs are very tight, opening them was a real torment for me. Although, perhaps this is because I have a new navigator and it will be easier to change maps over time.

And yet - there is no slot for a stylus in the case, but it is included in the kit. Basically, the menu of both the navigator itself and the program is focused on finger control, and a stylus is not needed here. But for various "fine settings" in some points it may be needed, so you should try not to lose it. As an option - buy somewhere on the market at once several cheap ones, scatter around the house and car - you can always find some.

The mounting bracket is made of an unusual material - not from the usual black, but from translucent plastic. So original to get attention? But for me personally, the main thing is different - the holder is comfortable and works well. The design with a ball joint and a clamping nut allows you to set the desired angle of inclination of the device to the millimeter.

They put as many as two cases in the kit - one of high-quality "bag" leatherette, and the second is velvet, with which you can wipe the device.

For detailed technical specifications of the device, see

LUXdash

Shturman navigation software will be integrated into the LUXdash hardware and software platform (reported in November 2010), developed and used by Luxoft for projects with automotive companies from Europe and the United States, the platform will be used in equipping cars of the world's largest brands.

The navigation function will be based on Shturman mapping software from Navteq, the world's leading provider of digital mapping information. The LUXdash platform is used to create multifunctional “head units” of a car, computerized dashboards (Virtual Instruments Cluster), multimedia systems for rear seat passengers (Rear Seats Entertainment) and Aftermarket PND, united by the abbreviation IVI (in-vehicle infotainment).

A version of the LUXdash software platform based on Angstrom Linux / MeeGo, made in accordance with the current recommendations of the GENIVI alliance and equipped with the Shturman navigation subsystem with NAVTEQ maps, was presented at the Telematics Munich 2010 exhibition (Munich, Germany, November 10 - 11, 2010), the largest European industry event in the field of automotive telematics.

SHTURMANN 1.1 with GPRS auto-update and enhanced LBS/LBA capabilities

The new version of the navigation software SHTURMANN 1.1 has the ability to auto-update the program via GPRS. This feature will allow owners of SHTURMANN navigators to get the latest version of the navigation client without connecting the navigator to the computer.*

"Most owners of navigators face difficulties when updating navigation programs in a standard way and, as a result, the number of downloaded updates is relatively small. However, with the current dynamics of navigation development, two identical navigators purchased with a difference of 2-3 months can differ significantly in terms of navigation functions and maps - we are constantly working on improvements. Now the only action that the user needs to take is to accept the update. The navigator independently checks for a new version on the server and offers to update the program if necessary. At the same time, we still save money user, since cartography will not be updated via GPRS.To automatically update the map (more than 1 GB), we have developed a convenient installer that checks and installs the newest map when the navigator is connected to the USB port of the PC. SHTURMANN update gives the card free of charge for two years," commented Vladimir Puchkov, General Director of the Content Master company.

In the new version of the SHTURMANN software, LBS/LBA capabilities have been expanded, some points of interest (POI) have acquired company logos that will be visible when searching for objects in the database and on the map. According to the developers, it is easier to perceive branded POIs, it is much more convenient for users to navigate among the well-known logos of manufacturers of goods and services. In the updated version of the program, some groups of objects have dynamic information, now users can find out the opening hours, news and current prices for goods and services, for example, for fuel at a number of gas stations.

Another innovation is the auto-zoom function in motion mode, now the map automatically changes the scale depending on the speed of movement and the necessary maneuvers. The function "Show on the map" was also added, now you can simply look at the point found through the address search on the map without laying a route to it. With the advent of the new version, SHTURMANN navigation has become faster, cold start time has been reduced, positioning is faster.

In the updated SHTURMANN 1.1 navigation program, it became possible to enter point coordinates in several popular formats, select a male or female prompt voice, a demo mode to demonstrate the operation of the program, the ability to select the color mode of the map, time synchronization via GPRS, and at the end of the route, the program will prompt the driver to go back or create a new route.

SHTURMANN 1.3.6

Version 1.3.6 includes improved functionality and new navigation maps from Navteq version Q3’2012 with significantly expanded coverage and updated road graph.

The new navigation version contains maps of Russia (more than 600 cities and towns), Ukraine (more than 20 cities and towns) and Finland (100% detailed coverage). The Q3'2012 cartographic database covers over 2,300,000 km of Russian and over 470,000 km of Ukrainian roads.

The update expands the address base. Now search by addresses has become possible even in small towns and many villages. In addition, the area and district of the location of the object are now also indicated in the address search bar. This helps to avoid confusion when searching in settlements with the same name, which is not uncommon in Russia.

The updated POIs database contains new categories of useful road objects - traffic lights, free public toilets, places for country rest and rest places on the highway, etc. In addition, information about available points is detailed, for example, hypermarkets, border points, attractions and much more. Separately, it is worth noting that the Shturmann navigation POIs database contains more than 19,000 filling stations (including gas stations), of which more than 5,000 provide information on the cost of fuel.

In addition, the updated navigation fixes the errors of the previous version and improves the overall stability of the program.
