Where can I save a car in gta 4. Installing vehicles in GTA IV

(Preparing for installation)
1. To install vehicles manually, you will need Spark IV. Download the program and unpack it to any place convenient for you.
2. Select the machine we want to install. For example, I chose: Ford Mustang Shelby Terlingua
3. Unpack the contents of the archive to any convenient place.

Everything is ready! Let's start the installation.

Step 2

(Installation)
1. Launch Spark IV .exe.
2. In front of us we see an open window: 3. We navigate to the folder with the game.

4. In front of us we see the program interface, it should look like this: 5. Then click on the button " Browse" and we see a bunch of files. 6. Looking for the file vehicles.img. Find it at: (Your hard drive)\GTAIV\pc\models\cdimages\vehicles.img 7. Click on the file and the capacity of the .img archive appears in front of us. 8. Now we need to find the car itself, in my case it is sultanrs. It's very easy to find out the name of your car. Just go to the archive with the car and look at the names of the files with the extension .wtd And .wft
*To make searching easier, in the window Filter enter the model name. 9. The next step is to replace the files. Open your archive with the machine and carefully look at what files are in it. In my case it's sultanrs.wtd And sultanrs.wft. 10. Next we perform the following steps:
11. After this action, a window pops up: 12. Click "OK" and close the program. That's it, the car is installed!

Step 3

(Complete installation)

1. Sometimes a model comes with a bunch of settings for controls, car color and something else. This will give you the opportunity to fully experience the taste of the car and enjoy driving. Since this procedure is not necessary and is too lengthy, many people do not want to waste time on this: searching for a bunch of settings files, searching for it, replacing it, and the like. Still, everyone wants to get maximum pleasure, for this there is an alternative option.

2. Download the Edit IV program
3. Let's launch.
4. In front of us we see the following interface: 5. Select the interface language by clicking on " Russian". 6. To apply the changes, the program will prompt you to reboot itself. Mila, we agree and click on "OK". 7. After restarting we will see this:

The most important thing is not to be scared. You must pave the way to your GTAIV.exe game file. Click on "OK" and send it to the address: (Your hard drive)\GTAIV\ GTAIV.exe 8. The initial interface appears before us. Next we go to "Readme" file for your car (it can be found in the archive with the car, always under the name "Readme") and look for where the settings are registered. When you have found a line, look carefully at what type of settings it refers to (handling, carcols, etc.). Then copy the corresponding line to a separate section of the program and click "Install".
9. Vehicle installation complete! Enjoy

Video installation instructions using

The problem is the possibilities. OpenIV allows you to create .img archives, and also provides all the functions for working with archives, such as deleting, adding (not replacing). And SparkIV, in turn, simply allows you to replace files.
2) A little patience and caution when working with game files. There is no need to rush, having completed the procedure of adding transport once, the next time you will repeat this, at first glance, complex procedure 2 times faster and more confidently.

So let's begin.

To begin with, let's prepare the files of our added car (see above) and extract sabregt.wft And sabregt.wtd files from the archive and rename them to the name of the future car, in our case I used the name “Eleanor”. After renaming we get 2 files: eleanor.wft And eleanor.wtd, let's put them in a convenient place, to do this, create a folder on your desktop called "Eleanor".

Now let's make back-ups of the edited files (all of them are in: [game_path]\common\data\). And this:

carcols.dat
cargrp.dat
default.dat
gta.dat
images.txt

We've done the back-ups, now be careful and attentive. Using the program Notebook or any other text editor, open the file default.dat. We see the following:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">#
#Object types
#
IDE common:/data/default.ide
IDE common:/data/vehicles.ide
IDE common:/data/peds.ide

ANIMGRP common:/data/animgrp.dat

PEDGRP common:/data/pedgrp.dat
CARGRP common:/data/cargrp.dat
RADIO common:/data/radiohud.dat
RADIOLOGOS independent:/textures/radio_hud.itd
WEAPONINFO common:/data/weaponinfo.xml

EXPLOSIONFX common:/data/effects/explosionFx.dat
VEHOFF common:/data/vehOff.csv
FMENUFILE common:/data/frontend_menus.xml
LBDATAFILE common:/data/leaderboards_data.xml
LBICONSFILE independent:/textures/Leaderboards.itd

HTML http:

This contains the resources used by the game. Based on this, we will force the game to connect an additional resource with our car to the game. To do this, after the line LBICONSFILE independent:/textures/Leaderboards.itd add: This will be our new Handling with auto parameters. Attention! between the added line HANDLING common:/data/newhandling.dat and line HTML http: must be one space!.

Now open the file gta.dat and at the very end of the file, after the line IPL platform:/DATA/MAPS/GENERIC/lodcull_e.IPL let's add: IDE common:/data/newveh.ide Note: if you plan to add several cars to the game, then copy this line, and after one space newveh.ide we add 1 and so on...

It will look like this:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");"> .... near the end of the text....
#
#LodCullers
#
IPL platform:/DATA/MAPS/GENERIC/lodcull_j.IPL
IPL platform:/DATA/MAPS/GENERIC/lodcull_m.IPL
IPL platform:/DATA/MAPS/GENERIC/lodcull_e.IPL
IDE common:/data/newveh.ide
IDE common:/data/newveh1.ide

Now let's open the file images.txt and at the end of the text after the line platformimg:/data/maps/east/bronx_w2 0 let's add platformimg:/models/cdimages/newveh 1 Note: Number 1 it is required, when adding another unit of transport, we copy the line and instead of 1 we put 2 and so on...

It will look like this:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">.... Towards the end of the text....

Platformimg:/data/maps/east/bronx_w2 0
platformimg:/models/cdimages/newveh 1

Note: Spaces must be preserved. There must be one space after the added line. Phrases preceded by a # sign are either comments or explanations of parameters from the developers.

Now we will create our new archive with auto files.

Open the program OpenIV in the program menu select the item File, press Create Give the archive a name newveh.img Next, we open the archive we created, again through the OpenIV program, and add our pre-prepared files from the “Eleanor” folder to it. eleanor.wft And eleanor.wtd Save the archive in the "Eleanor" folder. Note: To create an archive via OpenIV, you must have Windows 7 or Windows Vista; if you have XP, then you will not be able to create an archive. For this case I prepared an empty one .img file. You can download the archive with an empty file, as well as with the files of our added car for study, at the end of the tutorial using the link.

Let's proceed directly to the characteristics of the car. Open the standard GTA 4 file carcols.dat.

Now in the section car3 or car4 you need to add parameters. I have selected a section car3 after the line yankee, 15,112,1, 26,78,1 Let's add our car. Let's copy it from the ReadMe file that was in the archive with the car. Attention: Copy only digital values, the car name does not need to be copied. We enter what is necessary. In our example it looks like this:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">.... Other parameters....
yankee, 15,112,1, 26,78,1,
eleanor, 21,21,12, 23,0,0, 27,0,0, 171,0,0, 85,0,0, 173,0,0, 255,0,0, 34,0,0, 37.0.0, 49.0.0, 89.0.0, 132.0.0, 2.0.0, 3.0.0, 4.0.0, 12.0.0,

Now let's create a text file and rename it to newhandling.dat Note: You must have file extensions enabled on your system. Let's open the created file using Notepad and copy into it the necessary values from ReadMe, which is located in the archive with the car.
It will look like this:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">ELEANOR 1700.0 6.0 85 0.0 0.0 -0.60 0.0 5 0.20 1.0 160.0 0.20 0.65 0.5 35.0 1.20 0.85 17.0 0.15 0.47 1.4 0.8 0.8 0.15 -0.18 0.0 0.5 1.0 1.0 0.8 1.5 0.0 18000 440000 0 0 0

Now is the most crucial moment. Create a file newveh.ide. Open it, then retreat one space from the beginning and write the following:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">cars

Eleanor, eleanor, car, ELEANOR, SABREGT, VEH@LOW, NULL, 1, 999, 0.2621, 0.2621, 0, 5, 1.0, 0, noboot+sports

Vehshare_truck, vehshare

And now all attention is here. This file plays a key role in the appearance of a car in the game and how the game perceives it. Let's look at the parameters of this file:

eleanor, - model name in game files and archives
eleanor, - name of the machine texture archive in the archive
car - car type
ELEANOR - identifier in the handling.dat file
SABREGT - by changing this parameter to another, for example FUTO, in the game the eleanor car will change its name, engine sound to the name, engine sound futo
VEH@STD - car animation
VEH@STD_LO4_LO4 – animation of Niko in the car, affects how he holds the steering wheel, sits, etc.
100 - frequency of appearance of the car in the game
999 - maximum number
0.2229 - front disc diameter
0.2229 - rear disc diameter
0 -
2 -
1.0 -
0 - degree of contamination upon appearance
"-" - flags

Now carefully, in order for the car to have an engine sound, a name, you need to set the second parameter with the name SABREGT the required name for a standard car from GTA IV. A suitable sound to replace the car is located at SabreGT. Unfortunately, we cannot make our car display a name, its own sound, etc. The reason lies in the fact that the sounds, a specific file from the internal archive with the game transport, are simply missing. There is a possible solution to this problem, but it will take a long time to change values in sound files, etc. Thus, by changing the name of the parameter "SABREGT", we assign it everything from the SabreGT car. We can change the sound of the car and its name, for example replacing "SABREGT" with the value "INFERNUS". When creating a car model, the author himself selects a more suitable car based on its parameters. So remember, when you copy a line from the ReadMe and you want to add or replace auto, you need to change only the first 3 names are: eleanor, eleanor, - ELEANOR, Change parameter car Only necessary if the vehicle is of a different type, for example a helicopter or motorcycle.

Now one of the interesting parameters that needs to be adjusted tastefully. This is a file cargrp.dat It will contain information about which area of Liberty City our car will live in. My preference fell on the Russian area on the first island. So, we open the file, we see a bunch of lines with the names of the cars, and at the end after the names of the cars there is a line with the name of the region, for a Russian region it looks like this: # POPCYCLE_GROUP_RUSSIAN Now we need to move our car into one of the areas. As I said, I chose the Russian region. To do this, in the line intended for the Russian region, before minivan, I finished writing eleanor, Note: after the name of our car and after it there should be 1 space.

With this we have finished all the manipulations with the files. We save everything. Then all our created files, which are:

newhandling.dat, newveh.ide Place it in the following location: [path_to_game]\common\data\
File with our car newveh.img Place it in [path_to_game]\pc\models\cdimages\

That's it! We're done! Now we can safely launch the game.

Well, now let's check our car... but... we need to find it! Yes, we can go to the Liberty area we specified in the file cargrp.dat and steal it from an innocent PED, but you can do it easier - spawn our car. But bad luck, in Simple Native Trainer our car is not there, because we added it to the game, and did not replace it. But the way out of the situation is right under our noses - Script Hook, or rather its console. To open the console, press the key on the keyboard ~ (tilde), in the console that opens we write a simple spawn command: spawn eleanor, where “eleanor” can be the name of any car from the game, we write “eleanor” because we set this name when working with game files. Congratulations! Auto spawned! We jump into it and go to destroy Liberty City, well, or whatever you do there.

Now a little about the features. The number of cars added to the game is limited! From the available information, these are 28 additional cars (tested on patch 1.0.4.0). Or 23 (patch version unknown). If this value is exceeded, the game simply will not start. Most likely this is due to the GTA 4 engine.

You can download the archive with a sample work for detailed study, as well as just to review everything again.

Let's get started with the task:

1) First, let’s download the program through which the replacement will be made. (or ). Let's unpack it somewhere and run it.

3) Let's open it. Next, you need to find the files of the machine you want to replace. Just enter the name in the field Filter in the upper right corner ( turismo, for example). By the way, not necessary change Turismo to Turismo. In the event that the author of the mod offers you to replace a model that you have previously replaced, you can easily replace the new model with any other standard model of the game. It must be one class of vehicle (two-door, with opening headlights, four-door, etc.).

4) Now you need to replace the found files (sometimes just one) with the ones you downloaded. Look into your archive and see what files are there.

We only have turismo.wft here (don’t confuse the extensions), which means we’ll only change that. This is done like this:

Click on turismo.wft in Spark"e;
- Click “Import”;
- In the window that appears, look for the file from the archive with the downloaded car;

Open it;
- Click “Rebuild” (a window will pop up);

Close the program, the car is installed in GTA 4.

5) In some cases, you will have to change colors and control settings using Notepad. This item is optional. And it’s a bit difficult to write it down in general form.. For GTA 4 Episodes from Liberty City, the settings files are encrypted. You can always replace them.

It should be noted that the files with which you work and in which car data is stored (handling.dat, carcols.dat) must have the “Read Only” attributes removed.

P.S. In a similar manner as described above, replacement is made weapons(weapons.img), clothes, textures and models characters(playerped.rpf).

If you still have any questions about installing cars and other mods in GTA 4, please. Questions in the comments are considered flooding and will be deleted.

Thanks for understanding!

III. How to add a car to GTA 4?

If you do not want to replace existing machines, but add new ones, then this instruction is for you. Of course, this is not an easy task, but it is worth it.

IV. How to replace clothes, etc.?

Just like cars. The only thing is that you will need other files for editing. For example, for clothes or replacing the main character entirely:
- "...\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\pc\models\cdimages\playerped.rpf"

And to replace the pedal:
- "...\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\pc\models\cdimages\componentpeds.img"

V. How to replace sounds?

For weapons:
- From "...pc/audio/sfx/resident.rpf" using SparkIV or OpenIV, export the file "weapons.ivaud";
- Open weapons.ivaud using the program and replace the standard sounds with new ones from the archive with the mod;
- Save the changes to weapons.ivaud, import it back into resident.rpf and save the changes again.

For cars:
- From "...pc/audio/sfx/streamed_vehicles.rpf" using SparkIV or OpenIV we export the desired file, for example, "MUSCLE_CAR_3.ivaud" and so on.

V. How to replace weapons?

Just like cars. The only thing you need to edit is another file:
- "...\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\pc\models\cdimages\weapons.img"

Tell your friends!

Rockstar Games always pleases the world of gamers with only the highest quality, most interesting, expensive and simply wonderful projects. This turned out to be the next brainchild of the Edinburgh division of Rockstar North - IV, the development of which took 4 whole years, and the budget reached an unheard-of $100 million, which not all Hollywood blockbusters can boast of.

The game was released in April 2008 on consoles and in December of the same 2008. The new story tells us about the Serbian immigrant Niko Bellic, who came to Liberty City (the prototype of New York) for and, at the same time, to hide from the bitterness of his past life in the homeland. However, our protagonist doesn’t quite succeed in this, opening up to us a 20-hour drama of beautifully staged videos and skillfully staged designer videos - everything that is needed for real virtual entertainment. To date, the game has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, thus becoming one of the most popular in the entire gaming industry.

However, let's now move on to the sore subject of the game. If everything is more or less clear with consoles, then with the technical side of the PC version it was a complete failure. GTA 4 came out terribly unoptimized, with constant lags, disappearing textures and other things, and it took the development of as many as 7 patches to patch it up. Then another problem appeared - GTA 4 is tied to (which many players simply curse), and therefore many nuances arise, which we will discuss below.

You can often find information on forums about how to save in GTA 4. Also, many users are confused about what to do if the game does not save.

And yet, how to save in GTA 4? Firstly, whether you are the owner of a licensed version or a “pirate”, you need to register with GFWL (you can directly from the running game) and then log into your profile (if you have a pirated version, you need to create an offline profile). Voila! The game will start saving (it is recommended to enable the autosave function, which is very convenient).

If you have a question about how to save in GTA 4 directly in the game, then everything is quite simple. As mentioned above, you can enable the autosave function. If for some reason you don’t want to do this (perhaps you’re just an old-school fan?), then you need to go into your apartment and onto the bed, after which the process of saving GTA 4 will be carried out. In the virtual world, 6 hours will pass . I think the question of how to save in GTA 4 has been sorted out.

Another fact: GTA 4 is not a very short game. In addition to the 20 hours of story, exciting additional missions await you (well, maybe except for the hilarious shooting of 200 infected pigeons throughout Liberty City), which, however, can also be completed while completing the main storyline. In total, complete 100% completion will take about 40-45 hours of real time (and to achieve all achievements, over 100 hours). However, it is not necessary to go through all this, because on many fan sites dedicated to games, in particular GTA, it is possible to download saves for GTA 4 (100% saves) by uploading them to your computer and replacing the files. But if you are not a supporter of this kind of cheating, welcome to the vastness of Liberty City!

* Taxi stop.

To stop a taxi, Niko must stand next to the road, preferably on the sidewalk. When you see a taxi, click L1. Niko will automatically stop the car. If no taxi is visible, you can order one using your mobile phone. Moreover, at some point Niko will have the ability to call a limousine.

* Fast travel in a taxi.

To avoid having to travel across the city yourself, call a taxi. It will take you to the starting point of the mission, a store, a house or any point you have marked. You can skip the taxi ride, allowing you to be on the other side of town in about ten seconds. The same can be done in a mission.

* Avoiding the police.

When you are running away from the police, they are only looking for you in a certain area. However, if you manage to escape the pursuit and are then spotted by another police officer, the search area will change. You can use this to your advantage by moving slightly out of the area marked on the radar. After about five to ten seconds it will be over.

* Call for help.

Steal a police car, and when you find yourself in trouble, press L1 sitting in a stationary car. Select "Call For Backup" and in a few minutes you'll have a couple of cars full of cops who will fight by your side until you shoot someone.

* Light headshot.

Getting into the enemy's head can sometimes be very difficult, but in the game this is sometimes necessary. With a little practice, you can easily hit the head using the method described below. Click the button , to be able to use the right analog stick to aim at different parts of the body. Move the stick slightly while shooting. This way you will hit the enemy's head and chest, killing him immediately.

* Restoring health in a mission.

If you don't have much health and you can't find a first aid kit, you can leave the mission area and go to the Cluckin' Bell, hot dog stand, etc. to get something to eat. This technique works effectively in missions where first aid kits problems. Note. You can get to these places by taxi.

* Driving past control posts.

Use a car from one of the city services, turn on the sirens, and drive (at any speed). The caretaker will open the gate and you won't have to pay $5.

* $100 for all ringtones and themes for your mobile phone.

After receiving the phone from Playboy X, go to the nearest internet cafe. Buy all the ringtones and themes from the site. Step out from behind your computer and notice that you only spent $100 on all the ringtones and themes.

* Fire truck water cannon shooting.

Steal a fire truck. To spray pedestrians with his water cannon, press the button while driving.

* Help a broken car.

If your car breaks down and you can't start it, dial 911 . The engine should start again.

* Prank phone calls

Pay attention to phone numbers on graffiti or subway advertisements. Call them if you want to hear a humorous telephone conversation.

* Easy receipt of money.

Find an ATM and create a traffic jam in that area. Wait for someone to withdraw money from the ATM and kill them. Block all nearby roads so that an ambulance cannot reach the victim. Pick up the dropped money and run a short distance away from the body. When you return, the money should appear on earth again. You can repeat this action as many times as you like. To increase the amount of money that appears, you can kill several people.

* Happiness Island: The Heart of the Statue Of Happiness or The Heart of Liberty City.

Get the opportunity to travel to Happiness Island, find Helicopter Tours east of Happiness Island and steal a helicopter. Fly to Happiness Island. As you fly over the statue, jump out of the helicopter and try to land at its feet on the highest level, where there is a square platform with a door in the center of each side. Run along the platform until you see a door with the inscription "No Hidden Content Here". This door will not open, but you can simply walk through it. Enter the door and you will find an empty room with a tall staircase. Climb it and look up. There you will see a huge beating heart held in place by chains.

* Helicopter "Annihilator".

Kill all 200 pigeons and receive the missile-armed Annihilator.

* Armored car "Rastah Color Huntley SUV".

Complete 10 Package Delivery missions.

* Bowling: light shots.

Select the first track (leftmost). Take two full steps to the left. Move the analog stick down for half a second, then up. Don't add anything to the roll.

* Calling emergency vehicles.

Dial 911 on your mobile. In the voice menu that opens, select " 1 "to call the police," 2 "to call the fire department or" 3 " to call an ambulance. When the desired car arrives at the scene of the incident, the crew will run out and you will have an opportunity to steal it.

*Take a taxi.

If there is already a passenger in the taxi, do not hesitate, open the door and throw him out onto the street. Now the taxi will go wherever you say.

* Shooting from a water cannon.

Steal a fire truck. Press the button " Fire"to spray pedestrians with a water cannon.

* Standing on a truck.

At the moment of jumping onto the truck, press " Bounce" and Niko will remain at the top. But this does not always work, sometimes he falls down and loses a little health.

* Preservation of cars in parking lots.

At the beginning of the game, you can only save two cars in the "Residents Parking Only" parking lot in front of the house. But the city is full of similar parking lots with the “Residents Parking Only” sign, and you can leave your car in each of them, even if you haven’t bought a living space there.

In front of your first house there is a small parking lot, marked with a "Residents Parking Only" sign, where you can leave your cars so they don't disappear. It is not necessary to park cars according to the markings. If you place the cars as compactly as possible, then one more will fit.

* Algonquin: Quote from Ricky Gervais.

Take a friend like Packie or Jacob to the Split Sides comedy club in Star Junction for virtual stand-up like Ricky Gervais.

* Happiness Island: New clothes.

The secret T-shirt of the Islands of Happiness is hidden at the highest point of the statue's pedestal, where you can get there on your own. It looks like a glowing red quadrilateral. When you take it, Niko will immediately change clothes. It will turn out to be a blue sailor suit. On the chest there is a statue and the beginning of the phrase "Happiness is..." and on the back the ending: "...land".

* Quote from Hillary Clinton.

"Statue of Happiness" is actually none other than Hillary Clinton. She holds in her hand a steaming cup of latte and a tablet on which her name is easy to read.

* Firing from behind cover and while driving a vehicle.

When shooting, the general rule is to hold down the fire button ( RT or LB). If you are behind cover or shooting from a vehicle, this will force Niko to lean out a little and take aim. If you press and release the button too quickly, Roman may lean out but not have time to fire. This is especially true for drive-by shooting. This may seem strange to those who are used to shooting in short bursts in all games, but while driving it is better to hold down the " fire" and shower the enemy with bullets.

* Ways to evade the police.

When you are being pursued by the police (pursuit level is 1 star or higher), you need to get outside the flashing circle on the radar to reduce the pursuit level. If you have one star, then you are probably followed by 1-2 cars or a handful of patrol officers. It’s easy to escape from them by rushing straight to the border. If you have two stars, then there will be more cops and it will be much more difficult to escape. Here it is better to use “creative” driving skills, escape through tight places or jump where the police will not follow you. Three stars are given for killing a policeman and it is better not to do this. With three stars, a helicopter begins to pursue you and there is no way to escape from it, unless you shoot it down with a grenade launcher. Also, during the chase, watch out for the red and blue circles on the radar, they indicate police cars. When you are being chased, cops from all over the city begin to move in your direction. Obviously, the fewer pursuers, the easier it is to escape the chase, so avoid encounters with patrol cars that have not yet been drawn into the chase. The circle switches to the nearest cop who can currently see you, so you fall within the radius of the cop's circle if you drove next to him and he saw you. Let's give an example. Niko was chased by several cars, but he managed to quickly move beyond their radii. But right in his path more cops appeared, pulling up to the scene of the chase. He stopped in front of them. Despite the fact that police cars were approaching from both sides, in this case he managed to move beyond the radius of all police cars and the level of pursuit dropped to zero.

* Stairs.

Some may think this is stupid advice, but still... It’s faster to walk along the stairs. The animation for Niko going down the stairs is a bit slower, making it easier to jump across flights of stairs from the top landing to the bottom. The technique also works in the “up” direction on not too long spans.

* Relationships with the opposite sex.
