How to put stress on a letter in Word 2007, 2010

There are not often times when in the popular Word office application you need to put stress on a letter in a word or in the whole sentence. Usually the reader himself intuitively knows what is at stake, but it happens that rare words come across, the stress in which is not known to all users. In such and similar cases, it becomes necessary to emphasize the letter in the Word.

So, let's take a look at several ways, thanks to which you can easily and simply set the accent mark over the desired letter in any word. I note that all of these options are suitable for both Word 2007 and Word 2010.

Method 1. Use the "Insert" tab

We have a word printed in front of us, select the letter over which you want to set the accent, and go to the "Insert" tab.

In the upper right corner, click on the "Symbol" button and select "Other Symbols" at the bottom.

A window of symbols will open in front of us, where next to the “Set” item you need to select “combined diacr. signs." Now it remains to find the accent mark, select it and click on the "Insert" button.

After these actions, an accent mark will appear above the desired letter, which is what we need.

Method 2. Using hotkeys

This method can be implemented thanks to macros in the office application. To set stress over any letter in a word in the Word program it is enough to write the numbers 0301 or 0312 after such a letter and press the combination of buttons on the keyboard "Alt + X". As soon as you press these buttons, an accent mark will appear instead of numbers. When the desired character has appeared, you can finish typing the word.

As you can see, everything is very simple, it takes several seconds to put stress on the desired letter.
